N2  - In the title compound, C14H12N2O3, the dihedral angle between the two aromatic rings is 41.48 (5)°. The nitro group is twisted by 24.7 (3)° out of the plane of the aromatic ring to which it is attached. The molecules are connected by N-H...O hydrogen bonds into chains running along the alpha axis. Key indicators: single-crystal X-ray study; T = 273 K; mean σ(C–C) = 0.003 Å; R factor = 0.031; wR factor = 0.078; data-to-parameter ratio = 7.7.
