N2  - Das Schlüchterner Becken, das Gebiet zwischen Rhön, Vogelsberg und Spessart, besitzt ein subatlantisches Klima mit leicht kontinentalem und submediterranem Einfluss. Die Halbtrockenrasen auf Kalk- und Hergelkalkstein des unteren Muschelkalkes sind dem von Knapp (1942) und Bornkamm (1960) beschriebenen Gentiano-Koelerietum zuzuordnen. Dieses lässt sich in eine trockenere Subassoziation mit Tortella inolinata und eine frischere mit Trifolium pratenee gliedern. An den unbeweideten Hängen strahlen vielfach Arten des Trifolio-Agrimonietum ein, das infolge zunehmender Verbuschung in Ausbreitung begriffen ist. In pflanzengeographischer Hinsicht sind die untersuchten Gesellschaften weitgehend durch die kontinental-mitteleuropäisch-submediterrane und die mitteleuropäisch-submediterrane Artengruppe gekennzeichnet. Als Pflegemaßnahmen für die Erhaltung der Gesellschaft sind Abschlagen der vordringenden Gebüsche und extensive Beweidung erforderlich.
N2  - The climate of the Schlüchterner Becken, the area between Rhön, Vogelsberg and Spessart, is of subatlantic character with a continental and submediterranean influence. The analysed plant communities of the Mesobrometum of limestone and marlaceous lime of the lower Muschelkalk series belong to the Gentiano-Koelerietum according to the description by Knapp (1942) and Bornkamm (1960). This community can be divided into a rather dry subassociation with Tortella inclinata and into a fresher one with Trifolium pratenae. On slopes which are not pastured any more various species of the Trifolio-Agrimonietum appear. These species are expanding because of the increasing number of shrubs. In plant geographical view the analysed communities are mainly characterized by the continental-middleeuropean-submediterranean and middleeuropean-submediterranean group of species. For conservation purposes of these plant communities the cut off of the expanding shrubs and extensive pasture is necessary.
