  • Therion fidalgoi n. sp. is described from the Sierras de Cordoba in the upland subtropical thorn scrub of northwest Argentina. It differs from other South American Therion because of its strongly elevated, bilobed ocellar area, bidentate mandible, and unpectinate tarsal claws.
