- Se discute el desarrollo histórico de los estudios de los líquenes por microscopía electrónica en Venezuela. Se describen las distintas metodologías empleadas y los principales aportes que han alcanzado estos estudios. Se discute el estado actual de las investigaciones y su futuro.
- The historical development of lichen studies by electron microscopy in Venezuela is disscused. The various methods employed and the main results are described, and the current state of this research and its future outlined.
