N2  - This paper deals with the emotions of sorrow and anger in a religious text (the Holy Liturgy of John Chrysostomos, translated by Alexi Maltzew). The text was analyzed with regard to the translation of the relevant lexical material into the German language. The theoretical basis for the analysis included works by both Czech and foreign linguists.
