N2  - Described, illustrated and discussed is a strikingly distinct new species of the scarabaeine genus Anomiopus Westwood, A. apuskispay Figueroa and Edmonds, from the Chanchamayo montane forest region of eastern Peru. It is a close relative of the recently described A. pishtaco, also from eastern Peru. Both species are noteworthy because of the bizarre form of the male clypeus, which bears extravagantly developed marginal teeth.
