TY - GEN A1 - Figueroa, Luis A1 - Edmonds, William David T1 - A new Anomiopus Westwood from Peru (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Scarabaeinae) T2 - Insecta mundi : a journal of world insect systematics N2 - Described, illustrated and discussed is a strikingly distinct new species of the scarabaeine genus Anomiopus Westwood, A. apuskispay Figueroa and Edmonds, from the Chanchamayo montane forest region of eastern Peru. It is a close relative of the recently described A. pishtaco, also from eastern Peru. Both species are noteworthy because of the bizarre form of the male clypeus, which bears extravagantly developed marginal teeth.
