N2  - The method for assaying thymine-containing dimers in yeast is based on highly efficient ([3H]-deoxythymidine-5′-monophosphate) DNA-specific labelling and employs ascending thin layer chromatography. It allows satisfactory quantitative analysis down to UV-doses of 500 erg/mm2.
