N2  - The Nearctic members of the genus Oetophorus Foerster are revised. There are four species, 0. pleuralis (Cresson), and 0. obscurus, O. clavatus, and O. maculatus, new species. The name Oetophorus stretchii (Cresson) is placed in synonymy with the name Oetophol'us pleuralis (Cresson). Relationships of the genus with others in the tribe Perilissini and relationships of the species included in the genus are briefly discussed.
