N2  - The article emphasizes the importance of integrating the Arts into the teaching of foreign languages. Working with pieces of art stimulates creative processes and, consequently, it enriches the educational reality at schools in accordance with a humanistic oriented concept. This approach offers ample opportunity for emotions to connect with cognition through authentic artistic experience. Emotional involvement of a learner allows his entire personality to participate in the education process, thus allowing him to be shaped in areas such as emotions, aesthetics and ethics. Theoretical considerations in the article are supplemented with practical examples of literature and fine arts.
