N2  - Interjektionen werden oft als eine Art Sammelbecken anderweitig nur schwer einzuordnender Partikeln betrachtet. Der vorliegende Beitrag untersucht das interjektionale Spektrum, das von primären (emotiv-expressiven) Interjektionen (wie "ach" und "au") über Appellinterjektionen ("he", "psst") und sekundären Interjektionen ("oh Gott", "Donnerwetter") bis hin zu so genannten „Inflektiven“ ("ächz", "würg") reicht. Dieser Bereich wird von den primär schallimitativen Onomatopoetika ("tatütata") abgegrenzt, die ihrerseits unterteilt werden. Anhand zahlreicher funktionaler und formaler Kriterien, die wiederum obligatorischer oder fakultativer Natur sein können, wird versucht, alle diese (und andere) Einheiten um das prototypische Zentrum der Interjektion und des Onomatopoetikums zu gruppieren; dabei wird den funktionalen Eigenschaften der Vorrang gegeben. Die systematische Berücksichtigung all dieser Determinanten führt zu einer komplexen, doch dafür adäquateren Taxonomie des interjektionalen Spektrums und schließt Gliederungs- beziehungsweise Gesprächspartikeln ("äh", "ne") und kindersprachliche Ausdrücke ("Wauwau" für ,Hund’) aus.
N2  - Interjections are often considered a dumping ground for particles which are otherwise difficult to classify. This paper investigates the interjectional spectrum ranging from primary (emotive) interjections ("ach" and "au") and conative interjections ("he", "psst") to secondary interjections ("oh Gott", "Donnerwetter") and so-called uninflected verbs ("ächz", "würg"). Interjections are also distinguished from primary sound-imitative onomatopoeia ("tatütata"), a category which is also subdivided. By means of a number of functional and formal criteria of either a mandatory or optional nature, the paper attempts to group all these units along with others around the prototypical center of interjections and onomatopoeic expressions; in this taxonomy, functional characteristics play a central role. The systematic consideration of all these determinants leads to a complex but more adequate structuring of the interjectional spectrum and excludes discourse markers ("äh", "ne") and baby talk ("Wauwau" for 'dog').
