N2  - Das Phänomen Kollokation, aus dem Lateinischen collocatio, das auf Deutsch Stellung oder Anordnung bedeutet, etablierte sich in der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts in der Linguistik. Der Terminus "Kollokation" wurde vom britischen Sprachwissenschaftler John Rupert Firth eingeführt. Franz Josef Hausmann definiert die Kollokationen als "grundsätzlich binäre Einheiten", die aber auch eine "Tripel-Struktur" zulassen, welche aus der Verbindung von zwei Kollokationen entsteht (fester Beruf - Beruf aufgeben = festen Beruf aufgeben)...
N2  - Collocability concerns a semantic coherence between collocation components, which are linked on the level of syntactic-semantic relations. Very often the words are polysemantic and their particular meaning depends on the situations in which they are used. Keywords in dictionaries are usually formulated simply and clearly, but their interpretation is not the same, especially in terms of its scope.
In this practice-oriented contribution at first the collocability of nouns in mono- and bilingual dictionaries is being compared for specific examples such as Absicht, Bank, Beruf and Wald, and, secondly, collocations of a specific word, Absicht, are compared with the online dictionary OWID with the competitive profile of a German-Slovak collocation dictionary.
