N2  - Atriplex semilunaris, eine westaustralische Art, wurde 2003 auf Fuerteventura und damit erstmals auf den Kanarischen Inseln gefunden. Sie bildet an stark gestörten Flächen in Straßennähe mitunter Dominanzbestände, die dem Mesembryanthemion crystallini nahe stehen. Atriplex semilunaris stellt bei der Keimung nur relativ geringe Temperaturansprüche; sie keimt innerhalb weniger Tage bei 10 °C bis 20 °C zu hohen Prozentsätzen, auch bei geringen Salzkonzentrationen, so dass ein neuerliches Auftreten auf Sonderstandorten in Mitteleuropa nicht unwahrscheinlich erscheint.
N2  - The Australian species Atriplex semilunaris (Chenopodiaceae) was found for the first time on the Canary Islands on Fuerteventura in 2003. It grows on strongly disturbed sites such as suburban building land or along country roads near the coast, sometimes forming dominance stands which are near to the alliance Mesembryanthemion crystallini. Atriplex semilunaris does not have especially specific temperature requirements for germination; high germination rates are observed within a few days at temperatures of 10 °C to 20 °C, including at low salt concentrations. The adventive occurrence of this species in special habitats in central Europe thus would not be improbable.
