N2  - Vincent Golia, Delray Beach, Florida, collected a single female specimen of the tamarind seed beetle, Caryedon serratus, in an orange grove near Homestead. This is the first record of this bruchid for continental United States although the species is recorded from the Hawaiian Islands, and is often intercepted during port inspections.
