N2  - Das Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit war es festzustellen (im Rahmen einer Doppelblindstudie mit 32 Patienten), ob der Einsatz des neu entwickelten Kontrastmittels Gd-EOB-DTPA in der MRT-Diagnostik im Vergleich zum herkömmlichen Gd-BOPTA gleichwertige Ergebnisse hervorbringt in Bezug auf Detektion und Charakterisierung von fokalen Leberläsionen und in der Gefäß- und Leberparenchymdarstellung. Gd-EOB-DTPA zeigte eine sehr gute Verträglichkeit, die sich in der vorliegenden Studie als gleichwertig zu Gd-BOPTA erwies. Einen Vorteil gegenüber Gd-BOPTA bietet Gd-EOB-DTPA durch eine frühere leberspezifische Phase; auf diese Weise lassen sich dynamische Sequenzen und hepatospezifische Untersuchungen in einem einzigen Untersuchungsdurchgang vornehmen. Insgesamt kann Gd-EOB-DTPA als hochwertiges, Gd-BOPTA gleichgestelltes hepatospezifisches MRT-Kontrastmittel betrachtet werden und ist sicherlich für den breiten klinischen Einsatz gut geeignet.
N2  - The aim of this doctoral thesis was the comparison of the newly developed contrast agent Gd-EOB-DTPA (within a double-blind study with 32 patients) with the conventionally used contrast agent Gd-BOPTA concerning detection and characterization of fokal liver lesions and characteristics of blood vessels and liver tissue. Gd-EOB-DTPA was tolerated as good as Gd-BOPTA. An advantage of the use of Gd-EOB-DTPA was the earlier emergence of the liver specific phase, which could enable the accomplishment of special MRI-examinations in one session, rather than in two as it is necessary when using conventional contrast agents. Gd-EOB-DTPA can be considered as a high quality liver specific contrast agent that should produce equivalent outcome to Gd-BOPTA in a wider clinical use.
