N2  - Předmětem článku je analýza struktury německých párových spojení (binominálních dvojic, binominálů), pro něž je příznačné ustálené pořadí členů a jeden celkovy význam. Analýza 754 párových spojení získaných z různých slovníků ukázala, že v roli jednotlivých komponentů vystupuje 11 slovních druhů, přičemž 84,88 % výrazů je spojeno spojkou (und, oder, aber, weder-noch, als, wie), zatímco u 15,12 % funguje jako spojující výraz předložka. Některá párová spojení nemají žádný spojující výraz (bergauf, bergab) nebo se objevují v podobě věty (kommt Zeit, kommt Rat). U 8,36 % párových spojení je využito aliterace. V 28,65 % je použito stejné slovo dvakrát (Jahr für Jahr). Dále se článek zabývá fonologickými, metrickými, sémantickými a pragmatickými znaky párových spojení.
N2  - The subject of the present paper is the structure of the German binomial pairs (binomial formations, frozen binomials, Siamese twins). They usually follow a fixed irreversible order and the pair conveys a single, total, inclusive meaning. Based on an analysis of 754 binomial formations from different dictionaries, we show that the component words come from 11 parts of speech and 84.88% of the expressions are conjoined by conjunctions (und, oder, aber, weder-noch, als, wie), while 15.12 % have a preposition as the conjunction. Some of them do not have any connector (bergauf, bergab) or appear in the form of a sentence (kommt Zeit, kommt Rat). 8.36 % of the pairs have the element of alliteration. 28.65 % employ the same word twice (Jahr für Jahr). This article also discusses phonological, metrical, semantic and pragmatic determinants of binomial ordering.
