N2  - The topic of this paper concerns the interrelations between poets and their works across linguistic and political borders. Taking as examples Brecht's poem 'An die Nachgeborenen' (1938) and the song 'Aos nossos filhos' ('An unsere Kinder' – late 70s) by Ivan Lins and Vitor Martins, it is shown that the interpretation cannot be limited to an immanent perspective. In order to be able to give an adequate analysis, it is necessary to lake the historical and socio-political context into consideration.
N2  - Das Thema dieses Aufsatzes betrifft die Verbindungen und Wechselwirkungen zwischen Dichtern und ihren Werken über sprachliche und politische Grenzen hinweg. Am Beispiel von Brechts Gedicht 'An die Nachgeborenen' (1938) und des Songs 'Aos nossos filhos' ('An unsere Kinder' – Ende der 70er Jahre) von lvan Lins und Vitor Martins wird gezeigt, daß die Interpretation nicht auf eine immanente Perspektive beschränkt werden kann. Um eine angemessene Analyse geben zu können, ist es notwendig, den historischen und sozio-politischen Kontext in Betracht zu ziehen.
