N2  - 19. yüzyılda Doğu ve Batı arasındaki uluslararası kültürel ilişkiler gelişmeye başlar. Bunda Avrupa'nın sanayileşmesi ile kolaylaşan ulaşım imkanlarıyla birlikte yabancı kültürlere duyulan merak ve ilgi de rol oynamıştır. Bu kapsamda Neuruppin (Brandenburg-Prusya) matbaalarında basılan ve geniş halk kesimlerini yabancı ülke ve insanlar hakkında bilgilendirmek amacını güden renkli resimleri de dikkate almalıyız.
Bu resimler içinde Japonya'da bir sergiye de konu olan Japon temalı bir dizi örnek vardır (bkz. Oehmigke/Riemschneider Bog. Nr. 3826). Bu kapsamda, Neuruppin kent müzesinde muhafaza edilen en büyük resim albümündeki (Neuruppiner Bilderbogen) yabancı algısına odaklanacağım. Makalemde, Japon temalı resimler yardımıyla oryantalist örneklerdeki yabancı algısını göstermeye çalışacağım.
N2  - In the 19th century, international cultural relations between East and West increased the curiosity and interest about foreign cultures. In this context, the subject of my paper is the colored pictures which were printed by Neuruppin (Brandenburg-Prussia) printers and aimed to inform the large public about foreign countries and people.
In these pictures there are many examples which were exhibited in Japan as well (for example Oehmigke/Riemschneider Bog. Nr. 3826). But, I am going to focus on pictures with Japanese motives which are present in the largest picture collection protected in the Neuruppin City Museum. In my article, primarily with the help of examples from Japanese-themed pictures, I will try to show the perception of foreignness as a reflection to the orientalist pictures in the Neuruppin Collection.
