N2  - The article describes phraseological collocations concerning death and dying in the German and Polish languages. The basis for the analysis is the assumption that phraseological collocations relating to this topic tend to involve euphemism. The contrastive analysis of the collected lexical material proves the existence of the phenomenon in both languages.
