TY - GEN A1 - Henrard, Arnaud A1 - Jocqué, Rudy A1 - Baehr, Barbara C. T1 - Redescription of Tapinesthis inermis (Araneae, Oonopidae) : with detailed information on its ultrastructure T2 - European journal of taxonomy : 82 N2 - Tapinesthis inermis Simon, 1882, the only species in the genus, is widely distributed in western Europe. This redescription provides the first information on the ultrastructure of the species using SEM. The morphology of the spinnerets, tarsal claws and tarsal organs, and the internal structure of the female genitalia and the male palp are described and illustrated in detail. The combination of these structures is very similar to those encountered in some dysderoid spiders and supports the basal placement of Tapinesthis among Oonopinae. The phylogenetic relationships of the species are discussed. The only female among the three syntypes is designated as the lectotype.
