From stalls to screens :dialogue between Georgian bazaars and online shopping
- This study explores the evolving dynamics between bazaars and online shopping in contemporary Georgia. The research originated from an initial exploration of Tbilisi’s vibrant markets, where the diverse array of vendors and the bustling activity around metro stations drew our attention. Inspired by the rich cultural and social life of these markets, we initially planned a field study centered around their role in the everyday life of Georgians. However, early participant observations revealed intriguing patterns in the consumer behavior of the younger generation, who, despite visiting these markets, often favored online shopping for their purchasing needs.
