• Im Rahmen einer Erhebung der Moosflora der Salinen von Bad Kreuznach und Bad Münster a.St. (Rheinland-Pfalz) wurde eine salztolerante Form von Phascum cuspidatum var. piliferum gefunden. Diese wächst auf dauerfeuchten Salzböden. Im Gegensatz dazu besiedelt die typische Varietät trockene, sonnenexponierte Felsfluren. Es wird deshalb angenommen, dass es sich bei den Pflanzen an den Salinen um einen Ökotyp handelt. Wesentliche morphologische Unterschiede zwischen den beiden Taxa wurden nicht festgestellt. Salztolerante Formen von P. c. var. piliferum wurden früher auch von Salzstellen aus Schleswig-Holstein und Hessen genannt.
• A salt-tolerant ecotype of Phascum cuspidatum var. piliferum has been registered during an investigation of the moss flora found on the area of the salt works of Bad Kreuznach and Bad Münster a.St. (Rhineland-Palatinate). The habitat of this species is permanent wet saline soil. Normally the typical variety is xerophtyte and colonises dry and sun exposed rock vegetation. Therefore it is supposed, that the described moss at the salines is a salt-tolerant ecotype. No essential morphological differences were found between the varieties. Salt-tolerant varieties of P. c. var. piliferum are known from saline habitats in Schleswig-Holstein and Hessen.
