N2  - Die Ruderal- und Saumgesellschaften des Alpensüdrandes und der vorgelagerten Ebene bei Verona (Italien) werden beschrieben und mit pflanzensoziologischen Aufnahmen belegt. Der Übergangscharakter zwischen dem mitteleuropäischen und dem submediterranen Raum spiegelt sich auch in der nitrophilen Vegetation deutlich wider: Neben zahlreichen mitteleuropäischen Assoziationen finden sich insbesondere im Bereich der Mauer- und Trittvegetation (sub)-mediterrane Pflanzengesellschaften.
Für Italien nördlich des Po wird eine Übersicht der bisher von dort bekannten Ruderal- und Saumgesellschaften gegeben; sie umfasst 42 Assoziationen und 12 Gesellschaften unbekannten Ranges.
N2  - The ruderal and skirt communities of the southern border of the Alps and the plain of Verona (Italy) are described and documentated by phytosociological relevés. The nitrophilous vegetation clearly reflects the transitional nature of the areas between Central Europe and the Submediterranean region. In particular, among numerous Central European associations, we also found (Sub) Mediterranean plant communities, especially in the wall and footprint vegetation.
For Italy north of the river Po, a review is given of the ruderal and skirt communities so far known, including 42 associations and 12 plant communities of unknown rank.
