N2  - The present paper deals with inter- and hypertextual relations between two unpublished elegies of the Romanian poet of German origin Anemone Latzina and R M. Rilke’s Duino Elegies. The research aims at uncovering the importance of Rilke as an author of the German Modernity in times of dictatorship, as Rilke’s texts provided trust, hope, courage and strength. So the reception of the German poetry of the Modernity is to be understood both as individual as well as generational.
