N2  - ROGISTER (1978) stellte in belgischen und nordwestfranzösischen Wäldern eine enge Beziehung zwischen Humusform und dem Produkt mittlere Reaktionszahl mal mittlere Stickstoffzahl fest. In der vorliegenden Arbeit konnte ein solcher Zusammenhang auch für Wälder in Hannover und im Bergland südlich von Hannover nachgewiesen werden. Es zeigte sich ferner, daß die für sich betrachteten Reakti­ons- und Stickstoffzahlen die Humusform genausogut indizieren wie das Produkt aus diesen Größen. Das arithmetische Mittel der Zeigerzahlen, der Zeigerzahlen-Median mit Angabe seiner Position in der Medianklasse und ein Zeigerzahlen-Quotient („Zeigerzahlen-Index“) geben die Humusqualität auf ver­gleichbarem Niveau wieder.
N2  - ROGISTER (1978) found, in forest communities of Belgium and N.W.  France, that there is a close correlation between the humus type and the product of Ellenberg’s reaction and nitrogen figures. In the present study it is shown that this correlation is also valid for forest ecosystems in the area around Ha­nover. Furthermore, the reaction figures and the nitrogen figures, themselves can indicate the humus type equally well as can the product of these figures. The arithmetic mean of the indicator values, the median of the indicator values plus its position within the median class, and an indicator value quotient („indica­tor value index“) indicate the humus type at a comparable level.
