N2  - Die Rate von positiven Blutkulturen wird in der Literatur mit 6,4% bis 18% angegeben. Hierbei wird nicht zwischen Einsendungen zur Bestätigung des Verdachts auf eine Sepsis bzw. zum Ausschluß einer Sepsis unterschieden. In einer prospektiven Untersuchung bei 315 Patienten mit Verdacht auf Sepsis, bei denen Blutkulturen beimpft wurden, konnte bei 199 (63%) ein ätiologischer Nachweis erbracht werden.
N2  - The rate of positive blood cultures is reported to be between 6.4% and 18%, without differentiating between blood cultures inoculated to confirm a suspected sepsis or to rule out a sepsis. In a prospective study in 315 patients in whom a sepsis was suspected and blood cultures were inoculated, an aetiological microorganism was cultured in 199 cases (63%).
