N2  - Die vorliegende Studie beschreibt die Pflanzengesellschaften der Nordfriesischen Insel Amrum (Schleswig-Holstein, Deutschland). Insgesamt werden 100 Vegetationseinheiten aufgeführt. Der größte Teil wird mit Stetigkeitstabellen belegt. Die Abhängigkeit der Phytocoena von wichtigen Standortsfaktoren wird diskutiert. Das Vegetationsmosaik typischer Landschaftsausschnitte der Insel wird mit Vegetationsprofilen dargestellt. Die Arbeit beinhaltet eine Erörterung der Heutigen Potentiellen Natürlichen Vegetation der Nordfriesischen Inseln.
N2  - The study describes the plant communities of the North Frisian island Amrum (Germany). The list includes 100 syntaxa, most of which are documented with synoptical tables. The relationship of the communities to habitat factors are discussed. Occurrence of the communities in characteristic spatial patterns on the island is described by vegetation profiles. The paper also deals with the potential natural vegetation of the North Frisian islands.
