N2  - Eine Untersuchung der Vegetation von nicht-industriellen Mülldeponien und Kläranlagen im nördlichen Bayern zeigte, dass für junge Hausmüll- und Klärgutschüttungen eine bisher unbeschriebene, von Solanum lycopersicum dominierte Pflanzengesellschaft typisch ist. Bei den diagnostisch wichtigen Arten dieser Zönose handelt es sich ausschließlich um neophytische bzw. ephemerophytische Nahrungs- und Vogelfutterpflanzen. Die Anteile der Vertreter dieser beiden Artengruppen in den einzelnen Beständen weisen eine ausgeprägte und substratabhängige Variation auf. In ihrem floristischen Spektrum spiegelt die Citrullus lanatus-Solanum lycopersicum-Gesellschaft aktuelle Konsumgewohnheiten unserer (Wohlstands-)Gesellschaft wider. Die Entwicklung dieser modernen Phytozonöse im Laufe des 20. Jahrhunderts lässt sich anband floristischer Literatur rekonstruieren.
N2  - In the course of a survey of the vegetation of non-industrial refuse pits and sewage purification plants in northern Bavaria we found a hitherto unreported plant community, which is not only typical for but also confined to such sites. This short-lived (midsummer ephemeral) coenosis is dominated by Solanum lycopersicum. It occurs on recently dumped household rubbish as weil as on sewage sludge and sewage purification sand. The plant community is characterized by a numerous group of naturalized or ephemerophytic alien or cultivated species, which are either components of the human diet or of bird feed. There is a clear relation between the proportion of these species in the individual stands of the community and the substratum. The development of this modern Citrullus lanatus-Solanum lycopersicum community during the 20th century can be reconstructed from floristic Iiterature and reflects certain contemporary trends in human consumption.
