N2  - Eine Auswertung von insgesamt 487 publizierten Aufnahmen von Melilotus-, Echium- und Verbascum-Flurenn aus Mitteleuropa zeigt, dass Melilotus albus und M. officinalis einerseits sowie Echium vulgare andererseits häufiger getrennt als gemeinsam auftreten. Da zudem eine Vielzahl von Autoren auf unterschiedliche Standortpräferenzen der Melilotus-Bestände und der Echium-Bestände hinweist und sich außerdem diese beiden Vegetationstypen physiognomisch unterscheiden, sind sämtliche Bedingungen gegeben, um sie als separate Assoziationen zu behandeln. Gemäß den Prioritätsregeln muss eine dieser Assoziationen Echio-Melilotetum albi (Tx. 1942) Siss. 1950 heißen. Da für die andere der beiden Assoziationen Echium vulgare sehr bezeichnend ist, Verbascum-Arten dagegen nur eine geringe Rolle spielen, sollte für diese eine Umkehrung des von SISSINGH vorgeschlagenen Namens (Echio-Verbascetum) in Verbasco-Echietum Siss. 1950 nom. inv. vorgenommen werden. Über die Syntaxonomie derjenigen Ruderalgesellschaften, die von Verbascum-Arten dominiert werden, ist erneut nachzudenken.
N2  - An evaluation of a total of 487 published relevés of stands of Melilotus, Echium and Verbascum in central Europe reveals that stands of Melilotus albus and M. officinalis and stands of Echium vulgare, respectively, are encountered separately much more frequently than growing together. As numerous authors have reported differences in the habitat preferences of populations of Melilotus and Echium and as these two vegetation types also differ physiognomically, all the conditions for their treatment as separate associations are met. In accordance with the priority rules, one of these associations should be named Echio-Melilotetum albi (Tx. 1942) Siss. 1950. As Echium vulgare is highly characteristic of the other association and Verbascum species, in contrast, play only a minor role in the community, a reversal of the name suggested by Sissingh (Echio-Verbascetum) to Verbasco-Echietum Siss. 1950 nom. inv. should be effected. The syntaxonomy of ruderal communities dominated by Verbascum-species should be reconsidered.
