N2  - In der Regel stehen Quantoren bei dem Nomen, das sie quantifizieren. Im Deutschen wie auch in einigen anderen Sprachen können Quantoren jedoch auch in Distanzstellung zu dem quantifizierten Nomen auftreten. In diesem Aufsatz soll die Fragestellung verfolgt werden, ob das Auftreten von Quantoren in Distanzstellung als Ergebnis von Extraktion aus Nominalphrasen erklä rt werden kann, d.h. ob die Distanzstellung durch eine Bewegung entsteht, bei der eine NP aufgespalten wird. Dabei wird sich zeigen, daß eine ganze Reihe von Daten gegen eine solche Extraktionsanalyse sprechen.
N2  - This paper deals with quantifiers which occur at a distance from the quantified NP. First, it is shown that in German there are three different types of distant quantifiers and their characteristics are described: first the "floated quantifiers" alle and beide, secondly "split topicalization" with keine, einige, viele, wenige and thirdly alles in interrogative and exclamatory sentences. Data are presented which show that the distance position of the quantifier cannot be explained ä s the result of extraction out of NPs. Alternative analyses are considered and it is argued that "floated quantifiers" can be described as predicative elements.
