N2  - Aufbauend auf einer Literaturanalyse wird der derzeitige technische Entwicklungsstand im Bereich der Energierückgewinnung aus dem Siedlungsabwasser skizziert. Neben der Wärmerückgewinnung, die sowohl im Kanalnetz als auch dezentral in Gebäuden möglich ist, wurde die Biogasgewinnung sowohl auf Aerobkläranlagen als auch in Anaerobanlagen und die anschließende Aufbereitung der Klärgase in Erdgasqualität ebenso diskutiert wie die Nutzung von Schlämmen als Brennmaterial. Die Darstellung des derzeitigen Entwicklungsstandes half dabei, mögliche Entwicklungsaufgaben zu identifizieren, die einerseits vordringlich erlauben könnten, Abwasser  künftig als Energieressource zu betrachten, und deren Lösung andererseits besonders innovative Leistungen erfordern. Die Entwicklungsaufgaben wurden thesenhaft zugespitzt, um so anschließend in einer Delphi-Befragung überprüft zu werden.
N2  - Based on a literary analysis the current technical state of development in the field of energy recovery from sewage and urban waste water is being outlined. Besides heat recovery which is possible both for the sewer system and decentralised in the buildings, the extraction of bio-gas was presented with respect to aerobic sewage plants as well as anaerobic treatment plants. The subsequent conversion of sewage gas into inert gas was also considered as well as the usage of sludges as fuel. The presentation of the current state of development helped to identify possible development tasks which on the one hand swiftly allow to consider waste water as a source of energy and the tackling of which is on the other hand calling for particularly innovative efforts. The development tasks were subsumed thesis-like so that they can be assessed in a subsequent Delphi-survey.
