N2  - Das ca. 270 ha große Landschafts- und Naturschutzgebiet "Dönche" innerhalb der Stadt Kassel (s. Abb. 1) zeichnet sich durch eine besondere Kultivierungsgeschichte aus.  Jahrhundertelang diente es als Gemeinschaftsweide. Der östliche Teil wurde nur 55 Jahre lang, von 1881 bis 1936, kultiviert. Im Jahre 1936 wurde das gesamte Gebiet als Truppenübungsplatz ausgewiesen, und seit dieser Zeit erfolgte keine landwirtschaftliche Nutzung mehr. Auf tiefgründigen, ungedüngten Lehmböden nehmen die an Festuca rubra und Agrostis tenuis reichen Magerrasen große Flächen ein (s. Vegetationskarte). Insgesamt konnten im Dönche-Gebiet 48 Pflanzengesellschaften festgestellt werden, davon sind 33 mit 331 Aufnahmen (25 Tabellen) belegt.
N2  - The "Dönche", a 270 ha large preserved landscape and nature protection area in the city of Kassel (see fig. 1) is distinguished for its remarkable cultivation history. For centuries it served as a communal pasture land. The eastern part of it had only been cultivated for 55 years from 1881 to 1936. In 1936 the, whole region became a military training area and since that time it had no more been used for agricultural purposes. Large areas of the deep and non-fertilized clay soils are covered with poor grassland rich of Festuca rubra and Agrostis tenuis (see vegetation map). Altogether 48 plant communities could be determined from which 33 are investigated by 331 releves (25 tables).
