N2  - Im Gemeindegebiet von Holzwickede (Kreis Unna, Nordrhein-Westfalen) wachsen derzeit fünf verschiedene Orchideen-Sippen. Die bei weitem Häufigste ist die Breitblättrige Stendelwurz (Epipactis helleborine), von der mehr als 1300 Pflanzen gefunden wurden und die als typische Orchidee des Siedlungsraums bezeichnet werden kann. Das Fuchs' Knabenkraut (Dactylorhiza fuchsii) wächst heute nicht mehr in der Naturlandschaft, sondern nur noch an zwei Orten in Zierrasen in Privatgärten im Siedlungsraum. Das Hybrid-Knabenkraut (Dactylorhiza maculata agg. x majalis) konnte an drei verschiedenen Stellen in Wiesen gefunden werden und ist offenbar konkurrenzkräftiger als ihre Elternarten. Die Vogelnestwurz (Neottia nidus-avis) war bisher im Gebiet noch nicht gefunden worden, bei dem neu entdeckten Wuchsort handelt es sich möglicherweise um eine Neuansiedlung. Ein Erstfund für Nordrhein-Westfalen gelang mit einer Hybride der Schnepfen-Ragwurz (Ophrys scolopax-Hybride), deren mögliche Herkunft diskutiert wird.
N2  - Five different Orchid taxa are presently growing in the municipality of Holzwickede (District of Unna, North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany). The most abundant is the broad-leaved helleborine (Epipactis helleborine) with more than 1300 recorded individuals. This species can be considered the typical Orchid of the area. The common spotted orchid (Dactylorhiza fuchsii) is only found on two ornamental lawns and not under natural conditions. The hybrid Dactylorhiza maculata agg. x majalis was only found at three locations growing on meadows and is apparently more competitive than either of its parent species. The bird's-nest orchid (Neottia nidus-avis) has previously not been known and the newly found population most likely represents a new occurrence for the area. Furthermore, the discovery of a woodcock orchid hybrid (Ophrys scolopax-hybrid) in the area, and its potential origin, are discussed. This species has previously not been found in North-Rhine Westphalia.
