• Příspěvek se zabývá jazykem a emocemi v literárních textech Oty Filipa, které mají nejen funkci komunikativní a estetickou, nýbrţ také symbolicky vyjadřují autorovu dvojí identitu. Autor jako literát vnímá své identity především jazykově a během ţivota v exilu zaţívá období, kdy se vzdaluje ĉeskému jazyku a natolik si osvojuje jazyk německý, ţe se cítí plně integrován do německého kulturního prostředí. Později ovšem nastává krize a cítí se odcizen oběma jazykŧm. Přibliţně v posledních deseti letech píše autor ĉeské I německé verze svých románŧ sám. Uvádí však, ţe vzhledem k rozdílnosti výrazového potenciálu obou jazykŧ nevytváří věrné překlady, ale texty převypravuje.
• The paper discusses language and emotions in literary texts by Ota Filip. His work not only performs communicative and aesthetic functions, but also expresses the author's dual identity in symbolic terms. The author perceives his identities primarily in terms of language. During his life in exile, he experienced a period when he felt distant and detached from the Czech language, and acquired the German language to such an extent that he felt fully integrated into the German cultural environment. However, he later experienced a crisis and began to feel alienated from both languages. Over the course of the last ten years, he has been writing his novels in parallel Czech and German versions. He states that due to the different expressive potential of the two languages, he does not create exact translations, but rather re-narrates the texts.
