• Das Parnassio-Caricetum pulicaris wird aus der Stader Geest beschrieben. Die Assoziation wird in eine Narthecium ossifragum-Variante und eine trennartenlose Variante untergliedert. Alle Vorkommen gehören zu einem Flügel der Assoziation, der saurere Böden besiedelt. Die ohnehin seltene Assoziation ist im Untersuchungsgebiet vom Aussterben bedroht. Für eine Erhaltung der aktuellen Bestände ist eine extensive Nutzung unabdingbar. Eine kontrollierte Beweidung ist in den meisten Fällen die geeig­nete Pflegemaßnahme.
• A description of the Parnassio-Caricetum pulicaris from a part of northwestern Germany (“Stader Geest”) is given in this paper. This association can be separated into two variants, Narthecium ossifragum-variant and a variant without differential species. All occurrences represent peripheral forms of the association which settle on acid soils. The rare association is threatened with extinction in the study area. To save the community, a grazing or cutting regime is necessary. In most cases controlled grazing must be regarded as the best type of management.
