• Auf der Grundlage von Herbarbelegen wird die Verbreitung von Galeopsis ladanum in Deutschland und Nachbargebieten dargestellt. Die westliche Verbreitungsgrenze der Art verläuft in Nord-Süd-Richtung von Schleswig-Holstein bis Bayern. Die Art besiedelte im 19. Jahrhundert extensiv genutzte Acker auf mäßig basenreichen Gesteinen und sehr lokal Felsstandorte. Durch Intensivierung und Aufgabe der Landwirtschaft ist die Art stark rückläufig. Der Arealrand wurde durch eine Vielzahl von Fehlbestimmungen maskiert. Auch die Einstufung der Art in Roten Listen ist teilweise falsch.
• The range of Galeopsis ladanum in Germany and adjacent areas was mapped based on herbarium records. The western limits of the species’ range extend along a north-south line through Germany from Schleswig-Holstein in the north to Baden-Wuerttemberg in the southwest. In the 19th century, G. ladanum had a scattered distribution in rather open fields on moderately base-rich soils and very locally on rock outcrops. The species is rapidly declining due to intensification of agriculture and abandonment of traditional agricultural practises. A large number of misidentifications published in local floras and distribution maps have furthermore masked the actual range of the species. Consequently, some Red Data books have also provided incorrect assessments of the decline of the species.
