• Die Saumgesellschaften der Ostseeinsel Öland werden beschrieben und mit Vegetationsaufnahmen belegt. Die sehr artenreichen Trifolio-Geranietea-Säume lassen sich dem Galio borealis-Geranietum zuordnen, das in seiner Verbreitung auf Nordeuropa beschränkt ist und dort vermutlich die einzige Assoziation der Klasse darstellt. Auf Öland ergibt sich eine Untergliederung in zwei Subassoziationen, die durch die Literatur aus anderen Gebieten Skandinaviens unterstützt wird. Aus der Gruppe der nitrophilen Saumgesellschaften wurden zwei Assoziationen festgestellt: das auf der Insel weit verbreitete Urtico-Aegopodietum podagrariae in zwei gut gekennzeichneten Subassoziationen sowie das seltene, nur durch eine Aufnahme wiedergegebene Alliario-Chaerophylletum temuli.
• The forest edge communities of the Baltic island of Öland are described and documentated by phytosociological releves. The species-rich, sun-exposed forest edges form a plant community which can be placed in the Galio borealis-Geranietum. This community is restricted to Northern Europe, where it probably represents the only association of the class Trifolio-Geranietea. Two sub-associations are distinguished for Öland and confirmed by publications from other parts of Scandinavia. Plant communities of shaded forest edges are found in two associations: the widely distributed Urtico-Aegopodietum podagrariae in two different sub-associations, and the rare Alliario-Chaerophylletum temuli.
