• Die Publikation beschreibt Zwergstrauch-Heiden in Gebirgslagen der Tschechischen Republik, basierend auf 96 eigenen Vegetationsaufnahmen. Syntaxonomie und Standort der Gesellschaften wer­den diskutiert. Das Hieracium alpinum-Calluna vulgaris-Coenon wächst bevorzugt auf Primärstand­orten in den Hochlagen des Riesengebirges und zeichnet sich durch zahlreiche arktisch-alpine und hochmontane Arten aus. Es wird als windexponierte Zwergstrauch-Heide in den Verband Loiseleurio-Vaccinion (Loiseleurio-Vaccinietea) klassifiziert. Die anderen Gesellschaften, Arnico-Callunetum, Vaccinio-Callunetum, Aulacomnium palustre-Vaccinium uliginosum-Coenon und Oxycocco-Callunetum sind zumeist Ersatzgesellschaften und gehören zum Verband Vaccinion myrtilli (Calluno-Ulicetea). Charakteristisch für das Arnico-Callunetum ist das Vorkommen von Nardetalia-Arten. Die Asssoziation hat sich vermutlich durch Einstellung der Beweidung aus Rasengesellschaften entwickelt. Das Vaccinio-Callunetum besiedelt unterschiedliche Standorte wie z.B. Blockschuttfelder und Wegböschungen. Erstere werden häufig von Vaccinium-Arten dominiert, letztere von Calluna vulgaris. Das Aulacomnium palustre-Vaccinium uliginosum-Coenon wächst auf von Stau- oder Hangwasser beeinflußten Bö­den im Böhmerwald und Riesengebirge. Das Oxycocco-Callunetum zeichnet sich durch das Vorkom­men von Oxycocco-Sphagnetea-Arten aus. Es besiedelt Torfflächen in entwässerten Moorbereichen im Böhmerwald und Erzgebirge.
• This paper discusses the syntaxonomy and synecology of dwarf-shrub heath communities in the mountains of the Czech Republic, based on 96 relevés. The wind-exposed Hieracium alpinum-Calluna vulgaris coenon occurs in the Krkonose Mountains where it is mainly found in the uppermost regions in primary habitats. It is characterised by many arctic-alpine and high-montane species, and is classified within the Loiseleurio-Vaccinion (Loiseleurio-Vaccinietea). The other vegetation types, Arnico-Callunetum, Vaccinio-Callunetum, a Aulacomnium palustre-Vaccinium uliginosum coenon and Oxycocco-Callunetum, are mainly found on secondary sites and belong to the Vaccinion myrtilli (Calluno-Ulice­tea). The Arnico-Callunetum is characterised by many Nardetalia species. Thus this association proba­bly has developed from grassland communities, which were formerly used as pastures. The Vacci­nio-Callunetum is found in different habitats, such as stony sites and along roadsides. Vaccinium species are dominant, on the stony sites and Calluna vulgaris along roadsides. The Aulacomnium palustre-Vacci­nium uliginosum coenon occurs in habitats with stagnant or laterally moving soil water, in the Bohemi­an Forest and Krkonose Mountains. The Oxycocco-Callunetum is characterised by Oxycocco-Sphagnetea species and occurs on turf in drained peatland in the Bohemian Forest and Erzgebirge Mountains.
