Based on 7.33 fb−1 of e+e− collision data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector, the experimental studies of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays D+s→K+K+π− and D+s→K+K+π−π0 are reported. We determine the absolute branching fraction of D+s→K+K+π− to be (1.23+0.28−0.25(stat)±0.06(syst)) ×10−4. No significant signal of D+s→K+K+π−π0 is observed and the upper limit on its decay branching fraction at 90\% confidence level is set to be 1.7×10−4.
By analyzing e+e− annihilation da ta corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb−1 collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the \text{BESIII} detector, the first observation of the semileptonic decays D0→K0Sπ−π0e+νe and D+→K0Sπ+π−e+νe is reported. With a dominant hadronic contribution from K1(1270), the branching fractions are measured to be B(D0→K1(1270)−(→K0Sπ−π0)e+νe) = (1.69+0.53−0.46±0.15)×10−4 and B(D+→K¯1(1270)0(→K0Sπ+π−)e+νe) = (1.47+0.45−0.40±0.20)×10−4 with statistical significance of 5.4σ and 5.6σ, respectively. When combined with measurements of the K1(1270)→K+π−π decays, the absolute branching fractions are determined to be B(D0→K1(1270)−e+νe) = (1.05+0.33−0.28±0.12±0.12)×10−3 and B(D+→K¯1(1270)0e+νe) = (1.29+0.40−0.35±0.18±0.15)×10−3. The first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively, and the third uncertainties originate from the assumed branching fractions of the K1(1270)→Kππ decays.
Evidence for the singly Cabibbo suppressed decay Λ+c→pπ0 is reported for the first time with a statistical significance of 3.7σ based on 6.0 fb−1 of e+e− collision data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.600 and 4.843 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The absolute branching fraction of Λ+c→pπ0 is measured to be (1.56+0.72−0.58±0.20)×10−4, which distinctly exceeds the upper limit measured by Belle experiment. Combining with the branching fraction of Λ+c→nπ+, (6.6±1.3)×10−4, the ratio of the branching fractions of Λ+c→nπ+ and Λ+c→pπ0 is calculated to be 3.2+2.2−1.2. As an important input for the theoretical models describing the decay mechanisms of charmed baryons, our result indicates that the non-factorizable contributions play an essential role and their interference with the factorizable contributions should not be significant. In addition, the absolute branching fraction of Λ+c→pη is measured to be (1.63±0.31stat±0.11syst)×10−3, which is consistent with previous measurements.
Observation of ηc(2S) → 3(π⁺π⁻) and measurements of χcJ → 3(π⁺π⁻) in ψ(3686) radiative transitions

The hadronic decay 𝜂𝑐(2𝑆)→3(𝜋+𝜋−) is observed with a statistical significance of 9.3 standard deviations using (448.1±2.9)×106 𝜓(3686) events collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The measured mass and width of 𝜂𝑐(2𝑆) are (3643.4±2.3 (stat)±4.4 (syst)) MeV/𝑐2 and (19.8±3.9 (stat)±3.1 (syst)) MeV, respectively, which are consistent with the world average values within two standard deviations. The product branching fraction ℬ[𝜓(3686)→𝛾𝜂𝑐(2𝑆)]×ℬ[𝜂𝑐(2𝑆)→3(𝜋+𝜋−)] is measured to be (9.2±1.0 (stat)±1.2 (syst))×10−6. Using ℬ[𝜓(3686)→𝛾𝜂𝑐(2𝑆)]=(7.0+3.4−2.5)×10−4, we obtain ℬ[𝜂𝑐(2𝑆)→3(𝜋+𝜋−)]=(1.31±0.15 (stat)±0.17 (syst) (+0.64−0.47) (extr))×10−2, where the third uncertainty is from ℬ[𝜓(3686)→𝛾𝜂𝑐(2𝑆)]. We also measure the 𝜒𝑐𝐽→3(𝜋+𝜋−) (𝐽=0, 1, 2) decays via 𝜓′→𝛾𝜒𝑐𝐽 transitions. The branching fractions are ℬ[𝜒𝑐0→3(𝜋+𝜋−)]=(2.080±0.006 (stat)±0.068 (syst))×10−2, ℬ[𝜒𝑐1→3(𝜋+𝜋−)]=(1.092±0.004 (stat)±0.035 (syst))×10−2, and ℬ[𝜒𝑐2→3(𝜋+𝜋−)]=(1.565±0.005 (stat)±0.048 (syst))×10−2.
Quantum-correlated 𝐷¯𝐷 pairs collected by the BESIII experiment at the 𝜓(3770) resonance corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb−1 are used to study the 𝐷0→𝐾0𝑆𝜋+𝜋−𝜋0 decay mode. The 𝐶𝑃-even fraction of 𝐷0→𝐾0𝑆𝜋+𝜋−𝜋0 decays is determined to be 0.235±0.010±0.002, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic.
A search has been performed for the semileptonic decays D0→K0SK−e+νe, D+→K0SK0Se+νe and D+→K+K−e+νe, using 7.9 fb−1 of e+e− annihilation data collected at the center-of-mass energy s√=3.773 GeV by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider. No significant signals are observed, and upper limits are set at the 90\% confidence level of 2.13×10−5, 1.54×10−5 and 2.10×10−5 for the branching fractions of D0→K0SK−e+νe, D+→K0SK0Se+νe and D+→K+K−e+νe, respectively.
The decay D→K−π+ is studied in a sample of quantum-correlated DD¯ pairs, based on a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93\,fb−1 collected at the ψ(3770) resonance by the BESIII experiment. The asymmetry between CP-odd and CP-even eigenstate decays into K−π+ is determined to be AKπ=0.132±0.011±0.007, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. This measurement is an update of an earlier study exploiting additional tagging modes, including several decay modes involving a K0L meson. The branching fractions of the K0L modes are determined as input to the analysis in a manner that is independent of any strong phase uncertainty. Using the predominantly CP-even tag D→π+π−π0 and the ensemble of CP-odd eigenstate tags, the observable Aπππ0Kπ is measured to be 0.130±0.012±0.008. The two asymmetries are sensitive to rKπDcosδKπD, where rKπD and δKπD are the ratio of amplitudes and phase difference, respectively, between the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed and Cabibbo-favoured decays. In addition, events containing D→K−π+ tagged by D→K0S,Lπ+π− are studied in bins of phase space of the three-body decays. This analysis has sensitivity to both rKπDcosδKπD and rKπDsinδKπD. A fit to AKπ, Aπππ0Kπ and the phase-space distribution of the D→K0S,Lπ+π− tags yields δKπD=(187.6+8.9−9.7+5.4−6.4) degrees, where external constraints are applied for rKπD and other relevant parameters. This is the most precise measurement of δKπD in quantum-correlated DD¯ decays.
Determination of U-spin breaking parameters with an amplitude analysis of the decay D⁰ → K⁰Lπ⁺π⁻
(2022)
We present a study of the resonant structure of the decay D0→K0Lπ+π−, using quantum-correlated D0D¯0 data produced at s√=3.773 GeV. The data sample was collected by the BESIII experiment and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb−1. This study is the first amplitude analysis of a decay mode involving a K0L, which also results in the first measurement of the complex U-spin breaking parameters (ρ^) related to various CP-eigenstate resonant modes through which the three-body decay proceeds. The moduli of the ρ^ parameters have central values in a wide range from 0.4 to 12.1, which indicates substantial U-spin symmetry breaking. We present the fractional resonant contributions and average strong-phase parameters over regions of phase space for both K0Sπ+π− and K0Lπ+π− modes. We also report the ratio of the branching fractions between K0Lπ+π− and K0Sπ+π− decay modes and the CP-even fraction of the K0Lπ+π− state calculated using the U-spin breaking parameters.
The singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay Λ+c→Σ−K+π+ is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of 6.4σ by using 4.5 fb−1 of e+e− collision data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.600 and 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector at BEPCII. The absolute branching fraction of Λ+c→Σ−K+π+ is measured to be (3.8±1.3stat±0.2syst)×10−4 in a model-independent approach. This is the first observation of a Cabibbo-suppressed Λ+c decay involving Σ− in the final state. The ratio of branching fractions between Λ+c→Σ−K+π+ and the Cabibbo-favored decay Λ+c→Σ−π+π+ is calculated to be (0.4±0.1)s2c, where sc≡sinθc=0.2248 with θc the Cabibbo mixing angle. This ratio significantly deviates from 1.0s2c and provides important information for the understanding of nonfactorization contributions in Λ+c decays.

Based on 4.5 fb−1 of e+e− collision data accumulated at center-of-mass energies between 4599.53 MeV and 4698.82 MeV with the BESIII detector, the decay Λ+c→nK0Sπ+π0 is observed for the first time with a significance of 9.2σ. The branching fraction is measured to be (0.85±0.13±0.03)%, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic, which differs from the theoretical prediction based on isospin by 4.4σ. This indicates that there may be resonant contributions or some unknown dynamics in this decay.
Using e+e− collision data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, the Born cross sections of e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2595)−+c.c. and e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2625)−+c.c. are measured for the first time at center-of-mass energies of s√=4918.0 and 4950.9 MeV. Non-zero cross sections are observed very close to the production threshold. The measured Born cross sections of e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2625)−+c.c. are about 2∼3 times greater than those of e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2595)−+c.c., thereby indicating that the exotic structure potentially exists in the excited charmed baryons. The Born cross sections are 15.6±3.1±0.9 pb and 29.4±3.7±2.7 pb for e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2595)−+c.c., and are 43.4±4.0±4.1 pb and 76.8±6.5±4.2 pb for e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2625)−+c.c. at s√=4918.0 and 4950.9 MeV, respectively. Based on the polar angle distributions of the Λ¯c(2625)− and Λc(2625)+, the form-factor ratios |GE|2+3|GM|2−−−−−−−−−−−−√/|GC| are determined for e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2625)−+c.c. for the first time, which are 5.95±4.07±0.15 and 0.94±0.32±0.02 at s√=4918.0 and 4950.9 MeV, respectively. All of these first uncertainties are statistical and second systematic.

Using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 651 pb−1 accumulated at 22 center-of-mass energies from 2.00 to 3.08 GeV by the BESIII experiment, the process \process is studied. The cross sections for \process are consistent with previous results, but with improved precision. A combine fit to the cross section line shape is performed, which reveals contributions from two structures: the first one has a mass of $M=2174\pm23\pm4\unitmmev$ and a width of $\varGamma=207\pm49\pm5\unitemev$ and the second one has a mass of $M=2276\pm42\pm6\unitmmev$ and a width of $\varGamma=320\pm112\pm6\unitemev$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic.

Using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 651 pb−1 accumulated at 22 center-of-mass energy points between 2.0000 and 3.0800 GeV by the BESIII experiment, the process e+e−→ϕπ+π− is studied. The Born cross sections for e+e−→ϕπ+π− are consistent with previous results, but with improved precision. A fit to the cross section is performed, which reveals contributions from two structures: the first one has a mass of M = (2158+30−33 ± 4) MeV/c2 and a width of Γ = (218+81−64 ± 5) MeV, and the second one has a mass of M = (2298+60−44 ± 6) MeV/c2 and a width of Γ = (219+117−112 ± 6) MeV, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic.
The process 𝑒+𝑒−→Σ+¯Σ− is studied from threshold up to 3.04 GeV/𝑐2 via the initial-state radiation technique using data with an integrated luminosity of 12.0 fb−1, collected at center-of-mass energies between 3.773 and 4.258 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The pair production cross sections and the effective form factors of Σ are measured in eleven Σ+¯Σ− invariant mass intervals from threshold to 3.04 GeV/𝑐2. The results are consistent with the previous results from Belle and BESIII. Furthermore, the branching fractions of the decays 𝐽/𝜓→Σ+¯Σ− and 𝜓(3686)→Σ+¯Σ− are determined and the obtained results are consistent with the previous results of BESIII.
Using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 651 pb−1 accumulated at 22 center-of-mass energies from 2.00 to 3.08 GeV by the BESIII experiment, the process 𝑒+𝑒−→𝜙𝜋+𝜋− is studied. The cross sections for 𝑒+𝑒−→𝜙𝜋+𝜋− are consistent with previous results, but with improved precision. To measure the mass and width of the structure observed in the cross section line shape, a combine fit is performed after enhancing the contribution from 𝜙𝑓0(980). The fit reveals a structure with the mass of 𝑀=2178±20±5 MeV/𝑐2 and the width of Γ=140±36±16 MeV, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic.
Using e+e− annihilation data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb−1 taken at the center-of-mass energy s√=3.773~GeV with the BESIII detector, a joint amplitude analysis is performed on the decays D0→π+π−π+π− and D0→π+π−π0π0(non-η). The fit fractions of individual components are obtained, and large interferences among the dominant components of D0→a1(1260)π, D0→π(1300)π, D0→ρ(770)ρ(770) and D0→2(ππ)S are found in both channels. With the obtained amplitude model, the CP-even fractions of D0→π+π−π+π− and D0→π+π−π0π0(non-η) are determined to be (75.2±1.1stat.±1.5syst.)% and (68.9±1.5stat.±2.4syst.)%, respectively. The branching fractions of D0→π+π−π+π− and D0→π+π−π0π0(non-η) are measured to be (0.688±0.010stat.±0.010syst.)% and (0.951±0.025stat.±0.021syst.)%, respectively. The amplitude analysis provides an important model for binning strategy in the measurements of the strong phase parameters of D0→4π when used to determine the CKM angle γ(ϕ3) via the B−→DK− decay.
