The singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay Λ+𝑐→Σ−𝐾+𝜋+ is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of 5.4𝜎 by using 4.5 fb−1 of 𝑒+𝑒− collision data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.600 and 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector at BEPCII. The absolute branching fraction of Λ+𝑐→Σ−𝐾+𝜋+ is measured to be (3.8±1.2stat±0.2syst)×10−4 in a model-independent approach. This is the first observation of a Cabibbo-suppressed Λ+𝑐 decay involving Σ− in the final state. The ratio of branching fractions between Λ+𝑐→Σ−𝐾+𝜋+ and the Cabibbo-favored decay Λ+𝑐→Σ−𝜋+𝜋+ is observed to be (0.4±0.1)𝑠2𝑐, where 𝑠𝑐≡sin𝜃𝑐=0.2248 with 𝜃𝑐 the Cabibbo mixing angle.
We perform for the first time an amplitude analysis of the decay D+→K0Sπ+η and report the observation of the decay D+→K0Sa0(980)+ using 2.93 fb−1 of e+e− collision data taken at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector. As the only W-annihilation free decay among D to a0(980)-pseudoscalar, D+→K0Sa0(980)+ is the ideal decay to extract the contributions of the external and internal W-emission amplitudes involving a0(980) and study the final-state interactions. The absolute branching fraction of D+→K0Sπ+η is measured to be (1.27±0.04stat.±0.03syst.)%. The product branching fractions of D+→K0Sa0(980)+ with a0(980)+→π+η and D+→π+K∗0(1430)0 with K∗0(1430)0→K0Sη are measured to be (1.33±0.05stat.±0.04syst.)% and (0.14±0.03stat.±0.01syst.)%, respectively.
The cross sections of the e+e−→ϕη′ process at center-of-mass energies from 3.508 to 4.951 GeV are measured with high precision using 26.1 fb−1 data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. The cross sections are of the order of a few picobarn, and decrease as the center-of-mass energy increases as s−n/2 with n=4.35±0.14. This result is in agreement with the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model prediction of n=3.5±0.9. In addition, the charmless decay ψ(3770)→ϕη′ is searched for by fitting the measured cross sections, yet no significant signal is observed. The upper limit of B(ψ(3770)→ϕη′) at the 90\% confidence level is determined to be 2.3×10−5.

We present cross sections for the reaction e+e−→K0SK0L at center-of-mass energies ranging from 3.51 GeV to 4.95 GeV using data samples collected in the BESIII experiment, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 26.5 fb−1. The ratio of neutral-to-charged kaon form factors at large momentum transfers (12 GeV2<Q2<25 GeV2) is determined to be 0.21±0.01, which indicates a small but significant effect of flavor-SU(3) breaking in the kaon wave function, and consequently excludes the possibility that flavor-SU(3) breaking is the primary reason for the strong experimental violation of the pQCD prediction |F(π±)|/|F(K±)|=f2π/f2K, where F(π±) and F(K±) are the form factors, and fπ and fK are the decay constants of charged pions and kaons, respectively. We also observe a significant signal for the charmless decay ψ(3770)→K0SK0L for the first time. Within a 1σ contour of the likelihood value, the the branching fraction for ψ(3770)→K0SK0L is determined to be B=(2.63+1.40−1.59)×10−5, and the relative phase between the continuum and ψ(3770) amplitudes is ϕ=(−0.39+0.05−0.10)π. The branching fraction is in good agreement with the S- and D-wave charmonia mixing scheme proposed in the interpretation of the "ρπ puzzle" between J/ψ and ψ(3686) decays.
Based on (10087±44)×106 J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, a partial wave analysis of the decay J/ψ→γK0SK0Sη′ is performed. The mass and width of the X(2370) are measured to be 2395±11(stat)+26−94(syst) MeV/c2 and 188+18−17(stat)+124−33(syst) MeV, respectively. The corresponding product branching fraction is B[J/ψ→γX(2370)]×B[X(2370)→f0(980)η′]×B[f0(980)→K0SK0S]=(1.31±0.22(stat)+2.85−0.84(syst))×10−5. The statistical significance of the X(2370) is greater than 11.7σ and the spin-parity is determined to be 0−+ for the first time. The measured mass and spin-parity of the X(2370) are consistent with the predictions of the lightest pseudoscalar glueball.
The absolute branching fraction of the decay Λc(2625)+→Λ+cπ+π− is measured for the first time to be (50.7±5.0stat.±4.9syst.)% with 368.48 pb−1 of e+e− collision data collected by the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energies of s√=4.918 and 4.950 GeV. This result is lower than the naive prediction of 67\%, obtained from isospin symmetry, by more than 2σ, thereby indicating that the novel mechanism referred to as the \textit{threshold effect}, proposed for the strong decays of Λc(2595)+, also applies to Λc(2625)+. This measurement is necessary to obtain the coupling constants for the transitions between s-wave and p-wave charmed baryons in heavy hadron chiral perturbation theory. In addition, we search for the decay Λc(2595)+→Λ+cπ+π−. No significant signal is observed, and the upper limit on its branching fraction is determined to be 80.8\% at the 90\% confidence level.
Evidence for the singly Cabibbo suppressed decay Λ+c→pπ0 is reported for the first time with a statistical significance of 3.7σ based on 6.0 fb−1 of e+e− collision data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.600 and 4.843 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The absolute branching fraction of Λ+c→pπ0 is measured to be (1.56+0.72−0.58±0.20)×10−4. Combining with the branching fraction of Λ+c→nπ+, (6.6±1.3)×10−4, the ratio of the branching fractions of Λ+c→nπ+ and Λ+c→pπ0 is calculated to be 3.2+2.2−1.2. As an important input for the theoretical models describing the decay mechanisms of charmed baryons, our result indicates that the non-factorizable contributions play an essential role and their interference with the factorizable contributions should not be significant. In addition, the absolute branching fraction of Λ+c→pη is measured to be (1.63±0.31stat±0.11syst)×10−3.
Based on a data set of (27.12±0.10)×108 ψ(3686) events collected at the BESIII experiment, the absolute branching fractions of the three dominant Ω− decays are measured to be BΩ−→Ξ0π−=(25.03±0.44±0.53)%, BΩ−→Ξ−π0=(8.43±0.52±0.28)%, and BΩ−→ΛK−=(66.3±0.8±2.0)%, where the first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The ratio between BΩ−→Ξ0π− and BΩ−→Ξ−π0 is determined to be 2.97±0.19±0.11, which is in good agreement with the PDG value of 2.74±0.15, but greater by more than four standard deviations than the theoretical prediction of 2 obtained from the ΔI=1/2 rule.
The singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay Λ+c→Σ−K+π+ is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of 6.4σ by using 4.5 fb−1 of e+e− collision data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.600 and 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector at BEPCII. The absolute branching fraction of Λ+c→Σ−K+π+ is measured to be (3.8±1.3stat±0.2syst)×10−4 in a model-independent approach. This is the first observation of a Cabibbo-suppressed Λ+c decay involving Σ− in the final state. The ratio of branching fractions between Λ+c→Σ−K+π+ and the Cabibbo-favored decay Λ+c→Σ−π+π+ is calculated to be (0.4±0.1)s2c, where sc≡sinθc=0.2248 with θc the Cabibbo mixing angle. This ratio significantly deviates from 1.0s2c and provides important information for the understanding of nonfactorization contributions in Λ+c decays.

Using a sample of (10087±44)×106 J/ψ events, which is about fifty times larger than that was previously analyzed, a further investigation on the J/ψ→γ3(π+π−) decay is performed. A significant distortion at 1.84 GeV/c2 in the line-shape of the 3(π+π−) invariant mass spectrum is observed for the first time, which is analogous to the behavior of X(1835) and could be resolved by two overlapping resonant structures, X(1840) and X(1880). The new state X(1880) is observed with a statistical significance of 14.7σ. The mass and width of X(1880) are determined to be 1882.1±1.7±0.7 MeV/c2 and 30.7±5.5±2.4 MeV, respectively, which indicates the existence of a pp¯ bound state.
A search has been performed for the semileptonic decays D0→K0SK−e+νe, D+→K0SK0Se+νe and D+→K+K−e+νe, using 7.9 fb−1 of e+e− annihilation data collected at the center-of-mass energy s√=3.773 GeV by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider. No significant signals are observed, and upper limits are set at the 90\% confidence level of 2.13×10−5, 1.54×10−5 and 2.10×10−5 for the branching fractions of D0→K0SK−e+νe, D+→K0SK0Se+νe and D+→K+K−e+νe, respectively.
We search for the di-photon decay of a light pseudoscalar axion-like particle, a, in radiative J/ψ decays, using 10 billion J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector. We find no evidence of a signal and set upper limits at the 95% confidence level on the product branching fraction B(J/ψ→γa)×B(a→γγ) and the axion-like particle photon coupling constant gaγγ in the ranges of (3.7−48.5)×10−8 and (2.2−101.8)×10−4 GeV−1, respectively, for 0.18≤ma≤2.85 GeV/c2. These are the most stringent limits to date in this mass region.

The cross sections of the 𝑒+𝑒−→𝜙𝜂′ process at center-of-mass energies from 3.508 to 4.951 GeV are measured with high precision using 26.1 fb−1 data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. The cross sections are of the order of a few picobarn and decrease as the center-of-mass energy increases as 𝑠−𝑛/2 with 𝑛=4.35±0.14. This result is in agreement with the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model prediction of 𝑛=3.5±0.9. In addition, the charmless decay 𝜓(3770)→𝜙𝜂′ is searched for by fitting the measured cross sections, yet no significant signal is observed. The upper limit of ℬ(𝜓(3770)→𝜙𝜂′) at the 90% confidence level is determined to be 2.3×10−5.

We present the first observation of the singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay Λ+c→ΛK+π0 with a significance of 5.7σ and the first evidence of Λ+c→ΛK+π+π− decay with a significance of 3.1σ, based on e+e− annihilation data recorded by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 6.4 fb−1, in the center-of-mass energy range from 4.600 GeV to 4.950 GeV. We determine the branching fractions of Λ+c→ΛK+π0 and Λ+c→ΛK+π+π− relative to their Cabibbo-favored counterparts to be B(Λ+c→ΛK+π0)B(Λ+c→Λπ+π0)=(2.09±0.39stat.±0.07syst.)×10−2 and B(Λ+c→ΛK+π+π−)B(Λ+c→Λπ+π+π−)=(1.13±0.41stat.±0.06syst.)×10−2, respectively. Moreover, by combining our measured result with the world average of B(Λ+c→Λπ+π0), we obtain the branching fraction B(Λ+c→ΛK+π0)=(1.49±0.27stat.±0.05syst.±0.08ref.)×10−3. This result significantly departs from theoretical predictions based on quark SU(3) flavor symmetry, which is underpinned by the presumption of meson pair S-wave amplitude dominance.

With the data samples taken at center-of-mass energies from 2.00 to 3.08 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, a partial wave analysis on the e+e−→π+π−π0 process is performed. The Born cross sections for e+e−→π+π−π0 and its intermediate processes e+e−→ρπ and ρ(1450)π are measured as functions of s√. The results for e+e−→π+π−π0 are consistent with previous results measured with the initial state radiation method within one standard deviation, and improve the uncertainty by a factor of ten. By fitting the line shapes of the Born cross sections for the e+e−→ρπ and ρ(1450)π, a structure with mass M=2119±11±15 MeV/c2 and width Γ=69±30±5MeV is observed with a significance of 5.9σ, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic. This structure can be intepreteted as an excited ω state.
Based on 7.33 fb−1 of e+e− collision data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector, the experimental studies of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays D+s→K+K+π− and D+s→K+K+π−π0 are reported. We determine the absolute branching fraction of D+s→K+K+π− to be (1.23+0.28−0.25(stat)±0.06(syst)) ×10−4. No significant signal of D+s→K+K+π−π0 is observed and the upper limit on its decay branching fraction at 90\% confidence level is set to be 1.7×10−4.
Using e+e− collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 892pb−1 collected at center-of-mass energies from 4.84 to 4.95\,GeV with the BESIII detector, we search for the process e+e−→K+K−ψ(3770) by reconstructing two charged kaons and one D meson from ψ(3770). No significant signal of e+e−→K+K−ψ(3770) is found and the upper limits of the Born cross sections are reported at 90\% confidence level.
The absolute branching fraction of Λ+c→pπ0 is measured to be (1.56+0.72−0.58±0.20)×10−4, which distinctly exceeds the upper limit measured by Belle experiment. In addition, the absolute branching fraction of Λ+c→pη is measured to be (1.63±0.31stat±0.11syst)×10−3, which is consistent with previous measurements.

We report the measurement of the cross sections for e+e−→{nOCH} (nOCH stands for non-open charm hadrons) with improved precision at center-of-mass energies from 3.645 to 3.871 GeV. We observe for the first time a three-resonance structure in the energy-dependent lineshape of the cross sections, which are R(3760), R(3780) and R(3810) with significances of 9.4σ, 15.7σ, and 9.8σ, respectively. The R(3810) is observed for the first time. We found two solutions in analysis of the cross sections. For solution I [solution II], we measure the mass, the total width and the product of electronic width and nOCH decay branching fraction to be (3805.8±1.1±2.7) [(3805.8±1.1±2.7)] MeV/c2, (11.6±2.6±1.9) [(11.5±2.5±1.8)] MeV, and (10.8±3.2±2.3) [(11.0±2.9±2.4)] eV for the R(3810), respectively. In addition, we measure the branching fractions B(R(3760)→{nOCH})=(24.5±13.4±27.4)%[(6.8±5.4±7.6)%] for the first time, and B(R(3780)→{nOCH})=(11.6±5.8±7.8)%[(10.3±4.5±6.9)%]. Moreover, we determine the open-charm (OC) branching fraction B(R(3760)→{OC})=(75.5±13.4±27.4)%[(93.2±5.4±7.6)%], which supports the interpretation of R(3760) as an OC pair molecular state, but contained a simple four-quark state component. The first uncertainties are from fits to the cross sections, and the second are systematic.
We report the measurement of the inclusive cross sections for e+e−→nOCH (where nOCH denotes non-open charm hadrons) with improved precision at center-of-mass (c.m.) energies from 3.645 to 3.871 GeV. We observe three resonances: R(3760), R(3780), and R(3810) with significances of 8.1σ, 13.7σ, and 8.8σ, respectively. The R(3810) state is observed for the first time, while the R(3760) and R(3780) states are observed for the first time in the nOCH cross sections. Two sets of resonance parameters describe the energy-dependent line shape of the cross sections well. In set I [set II], the R(3810) state has mass (3805.7±1.1±2.7) [(3805.7±1.1±2.7)] MeV/c2, total width (11.6±2.9±1.9) [(11.5±2.8±1.9)] MeV, and an electronic width multiplied by the nOCH decay branching fraction of (10.9±3.8±2.5) [(11.0±3.4±2.5)] eV. In addition, we measure the branching fractions B[R(3760)→nOCH]=(25.2±16.1±30.4)%[(6.4±4.8±7.7)%] and B[R(3780)→nOCH]=(12.3±6.6±8.3)%[(10.4±4.8±7.0)%] for the first time. The R(3760) state can be interpreted as an open-charm (OC) molecular state, but containing a simple four-quark state component. The R(3810) state can be interpreted as a hadrocharmonium state.

The first observation of the decays J/ψ→p¯Σ+K0S and J/ψ→pΣ¯−K0S is reported using (10087±44)×106 J/ψ events recorded by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring. The branching fractions of each channel are determined to be B(J/ψ→p¯Σ+K0S)=(1.361±0.006±0.025)×10−4 and B(J/ψ→pΣ¯−K0S)=(1.352±0.006±0.025)×10−4. The combined result is B(J/ψ→p¯Σ+K0S+c.c.)=(2.725±0.009±0.050)×10−4, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The results presented are in good agreement with the branching fractions of the isospin partner decay J/ψ→pK−Σ¯0+c.c..

With the input of |Vcd| from the global fit in the standard model, we determine ff0+(0)=0.350±0.027stat±0.015syst. The absolute branching fractions of D+→f0(500)(π+π−)μ+νμ and D+→ρ0(π+π−)μ+νμ are determined as (0.72±0.13stat±0.10syst)×10−3 and (1.64±0.13stat±0.11syst)×10−3. Combining these results with those of previous BESIII measurements on their semielectronic counterparts from the same data sample, we test lepton flavor universality by measuring the branching fraction ratios BD+→ρ0μ+νμ/BD+→ρ0e+νe = 0.88±0.10 and BD+→f0(500)μ+νμ/BD+→f0(500)e+νe = 1.14±0.28, which are compatible with the standard model expectation.

The J/ψ→Ξ0Ξ¯0 process and subsequent decays are investigated using (10087±44)×106 J/ψ events collected at the BESIII experiment. The decay parameters of Ξ0 and Ξ¯0 are measured with greatly improved precision over previous measurements to be αΞ=−0.3750±0.0034±0.0016, α¯Ξ=0.3790±0.0034±0.0021, ϕΞ=0.0051±0.0096±0.0018~rad, ϕ¯Ξ=−0.0053±0.0097±0.0019~rad, where the first and the second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. From these measurements, precise CP symmetry tests in Ξ0 decay are performed, and AΞCP=(−5.4±6.5±3.1)×10−3 and ΔϕΞCP=(−0.1±6.9±0.9)×10−3~rad are consistent with CP conservation. The sequential decay also enables a separation of weak and strong phase differences, which are found for the first time to be ξP−ξS=(0.0±1.7±0.2)×10−2~rad and δP−δS=(−1.3±1.7±0.4)×10−2~rad, respectively. In addition, we measure the Λ decay parameters and test CP symmetry in Λ decays.
