Using 2.93 fbβ1 of e+eβ collision data collected with the BESIII detector at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV, we measure the absolute branching fractions of the decays D0βKβe+Ξ½e and D+βKΒ―0e+Ξ½e to be (3.567Β±0.031statΒ±0.025syst)% and (8.68Β±0.14statΒ±0.16syst)%, respectively. Starting with the process e+eββDDΒ―, a new reconstruction method is employed to select events that contain candidates for both DβKΒ―e+Ξ½e and DΒ―βKeβΞ½Β―e decays. The branching fractions reported in this work are consistent within uncertainties with previous BESIII measurements that selected events containing DβKΒ―e+Ξ½e and hadronic DΒ― decays. Combining our results with the lifetimes of the D0 and D+ mesons and the previous BESIII measurements leads to a ratio of the two decay partial widths of ΞΒ―D0βKβe+Ξ½eΞΒ―D+βKΒ―0e+Ξ½e=1.039Β±0.021. This ratio supports isospin symmetry in the D0βKβe+Ξ½e and D+βKΒ―0e+Ξ½e decays within 1.9Ο.
Using 2.93 fbβ1 of e+eβ collision data collected with the BESIII detector at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV, we measure the absolute branching fractions of the decays D0βKβe+Ξ½e and D+βKΒ―0e+Ξ½e to be (3.574Β±0.031statΒ±0.025syst)% and (8.70Β±0.14statΒ±0.16syst)%, respectively. We measure the inclusive semielectronic decay branching fraction of the D+s meson. A double-tag technique is applied to e+eβ annihilation data collected by the BESIII experiment at the BEPCII collider, operating in the center-of-mass energy range 4.178β4.230 GeV. We select positrons from D+sβXe+Ξ½e with momenta greater than 200 MeV/c, and determine the laboratory momentum spectrum, accounting for the effects of detector efficiency and resolution. The total positron yield and semielectronic branching fraction are determined by extrapolating this spectrum below the momentum cutoff. We measure the D+s semielectronic branching fraction to be B(D+sβXe+Ξ½e)=(6.30Β±0.13(stat.)Β±0.10(syst.))%, showing no evidence for unobserved exclusive semielectronic modes. We combine this result with external data taken from literature to determine the ratio of the D+s and D0 semielectronic widths, Ξ(D+sβXe+Ξ½e)Ξ(D0βXe+Ξ½e)=0.790Β±0.016(stat.)Β±0.020(syst.). Our results are consistent with and more precise than previous measurements.
Using 10.1 Γ 109 J/Ο events produced by the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPCII) at a center-of-mass energy βs = 3.097 GeV and collected with the BESIII detector, we present a search for the rare semi-leptonic decay J/Ο β Dβe+Ξ½e + c.c. No excess of signal above background is observed, and an upper limit on the branching fraction B(J/Ο β Dβe +Ξ½e + c.c.) < 7.1 Γ 10β8 is obtained at 90% confidence level. This is an improvement of more than two orders of magnitude over the previous best limit.
Using a total of 5.25 fbβ1 of e+eβ collision data with center-of-mass energies from 4.236 to 4.600 GeV, we report the first observation of the process e+eβ β Ξ·Ο(2S) with a statistical significance of 4.9 standard deviations. The data sets were collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. We measure the yield of events integrated over center-of-mass energies and also present the energy dependence of the measured cross section.
Using 6.32 fbβ1 of electron-positron collision data recorded by the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.178 and 4.226~GeV, we present the first search for the decay D+sβa0(980)0e+Ξ½e, a0(980)0βΟ0Ξ·, which could proceed via a0(980)-f0(980) mixing. No significant signal is observed. An upper limit of 1.2Γ10β4 at the 90% confidence level is set on the product of the branching fractions of D+sβa0(980)0e+Ξ½e and a0(980)0βΟ0Ξ· decays.
Using (448.1Β±2.9)Γ106 Ο(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector and a single-baryon tagging technique, we present the first observation of the decays Ο(3686)βΞ(1530)0ΞΒ―(1530)0 and Ξ(1530)0ΞΒ―0. The branching fractions are measured to be B(Ο(3686)βΞ(1530)0ΞΒ―(1530)0)=(6.77Β±0.14Β±0.39)Γ10β5 and B(Ο(3686)βΞ(1530)0ΞΒ―0)=(0.53Β±0.04Β±0.03)Γ10β5. Here, the first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. In addition, the parameter associated with the angular distribution for the decay Ο(3686)βΞ(1530)0ΞΒ―(1530)0 is determined to be Ξ±=0.32Β±0.19Β±0.07, in agreement with theoretical predictions within one standard deviation.
Using an π+β’πβ collision data sample of 2.93ββfbβ1 collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV by the BESIII detector at BEPCII, we report the observation of π·0βπ0β’(980)ββ’π+β’ππ and evidence for π·+βπ0β’(980)0β’π+β’ππ with significances of 6.4β’π and 2.9β’π, respectively. The absolute branching fractions are determined to be β¬β‘(π·0βπ0β’(980)ββ’π+β’ππ)Γβ¬β‘(π0β’(980)ββπβ’πβ) = [1.3β’3+0.33β0.29β’(stat)Β±0.09β’(syst)]Γ10β4 and β¬β‘(π·+βπ0β’(980)0β’π+β’ππ)Γβ¬β‘(π0β’(980)0βπβ’π0)=[1.6β’6+0.81
β0.66β’(stat)Β±0.11β’(syst)]Γ10β4. This is the first time the π0β‘(980) meson has been measured in a π·0 semileptonic decay, which would open one more interesting page in the investigation of the nature of the puzzling π0β‘(980) states.
Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fbβ1 collected at a center-of-mass energy sβ=3.773 GeV by the BESIII detector, the decay D0βΟΟ is observed for the first time. The branching fraction is measured to be (6.48Β±0.96Β±0.38)Γ10β4 with a significance of 6.3Ο, where the first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. An angular analysis reveals that the Ο and Ο mesons from the D0βΟΟ decay are transversely polarized, which is inconsistent with current theoretical expectations and challenges our understanding of the underlying dynamics in charm meson decays.
