The decay D→K−π+ is studied in a sample of quantum-correlated DD¯ pairs, based on a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93\,fb−1 collected at the ψ(3770) resonance by the BESIII experiment. The asymmetry between CP-odd and CP-even eigenstate decays into K−π+ is determined to be AKπ=0.132±0.011±0.007, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. This measurement is an update of an earlier study exploiting additional tagging modes, including several decay modes involving a K0L meson. The branching fractions of the K0L modes are determined as input to the analysis in a manner that is independent of any strong phase uncertainty. Using the predominantly CP-even tag D→π+π−π0 and the ensemble of CP-odd eigenstate tags, the observable Aπππ0Kπ is measured to be 0.130±0.012±0.008. The two asymmetries are sensitive to rKπDcosδKπD, where rKπD and δKπD are the ratio of amplitudes and phase difference, respectively, between the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed and Cabibbo-favoured decays. In addition, events containing D→K−π+ tagged by D→K0S,Lπ+π− are studied in bins of phase space of the three-body decays. This analysis has sensitivity to both rKπDcosδKπD and rKπDsinδKπD. A fit to AKπ, Aπππ0Kπ and the phase-space distribution of the D→K0S,Lπ+π− tags yields δKπD=(187.6+8.9−9.7+5.4−6.4) degrees, where external constraints are applied for rKπD and other relevant parameters. This is the most precise measurement of δKπD in quantum-correlated DD¯ decays.
Improved measurement of the decays η′ → π⁺π⁻π⁺⁽⁰⁾π⁻⁽⁰⁾ and search for the rare decay η′ → 4π⁰
(2024)
Using a sample of 10 billion J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, the decays η′→π+π−π+π−, η′→π+π−π0π0 and η′→4π0 are studied via the process J/ψ→γη′. The branching fractions of η′→π+π−π+π− and η′→π+π−π0 π0 are measured to be (8.56±0.25(stat.)±0.23(syst.))×10−5 and (2.12±0.12(stat.)±0.10(syst.))×10−4, respectively, which are consistent with previous measurements but with improved precision. No significant η′→4π0 signal is observed, and the upper limit on the branching fraction of this decay is determined to be less than 1.24×10−5 at the 90% confidence level. In addition, an amplitude analysis of η′→π+π−π+π− is performed to extract the doubly virtual isovector form factor α for the first time. The measured value of α=1.22±0.33(stat.)±0.04(syst.), is in agreement with the prediction of the VMD model.
Improved measurement of the branching fractions of the inclusive decays D⁺ → Kₛ⁰X and D⁰ → Kₛ⁰X
(2023)
By analyzing 2.93 fb−1 of 𝑒+𝑒− collision data taken at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector, the branching fractions of the inclusive decays 𝐷+→𝐾0 𝑆𝑋 and 𝐷0→𝐾0 𝑆𝑋 are measured to be (33.11±0.13±0.36)% and (20.75±0.12±0.20)%, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. These results are consistent with the world averages of previous measurements, but with much improved precision.

By analyzing 2.93 fb−1 of e+e− collision data taken at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector, the branching fractions of the inclusive decays D+→K0SX and D0→K0SX are measured to be (32.78±0.13±0.27)% and (20.54±0.12±0.18)%, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. These results are consistent with the world averages of previous measurements, but with improved precision.
The processes hc→γP(P=η′, η, π0) are studied with a sample of (27.12±0.14)×108 ψ(3686) events collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The decay hc→γη is observed for the first time with the significance of 9.0σ, and the branching fraction is determined to be (3.77±0.55±0.13±0.26)×10−4, while B(hc→γη′) is measured to be (1.40±0.11±0.04±0.10)×10−3, where the first uncertainties are statistical, the second systematic, and the third from the branching fraction of ψ(3686)→π0hc. The combination of these results allows for a precise determination of Rhc=B(hc→γη)B(hc→γη′), which is calculated to be (27.0±4.4±1.0)%. The results are valuable for gaining a deeper understanding of η−η′ mixing, and its manifestation within quantum chromodynamics. No significant signal is found for the decay hc→γπ0, and an upper limit is placed on its branching fraction of B(hc→γπ0)<5.0×10−5, at the 90% confidence level.

The branching fractions of hc→γη′ and hc→γη are measured to be (1.40±0.11±0.04±0.10)×10−3 and (3.77±0.55±0.13±0.26)×10−4, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical, the second systematic, and the third from the branching fraction of ψ(3686)→π0hc. Using 𝑒+𝑒− collision data with an integrated luminosity of 7.33 fb−1 collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, the branching fraction of the leptonic decay 𝐷+ 𝑠→𝜇+𝜈𝜇 is measured to be (0.5294±0.0108stat±0.0085syst)%. Based on this, the product of the 𝐷+ 𝑠 decay constant 𝑓𝐷+ 𝑠 and the magnitude of the 𝑐→𝑠 quark mixing matrix element |𝑉𝑐𝑠| is determined to be 𝑓𝐷+ 𝑠|𝑉𝑐𝑠| = 241.8±2.5stat±2.2syst MeV. Using the value of |𝑉𝑐𝑠| given by the global standard model fit, 𝑓𝐷+ 𝑠 is found to be 248.4±2.5stat±2.2syst MeV. Alternatively, using the value of 𝑓𝐷+ 𝑠 from a recent lattice quantum chromodynamics calculation, |𝑉𝑐𝑠| is determined to be 0.968±0.010stat±0.009syst.
Using 4.5fb−1 of e+e− annihilation data samples collected at center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.600 to 4.698 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we measured the absolute branching fraction for the inclusive semileptonic decay Λ+c→Xe+νe, where X refers to any possible particle system. The branching fraction of the decay is determined to be B(Λ+c→Xe+νe)=(4.06±0.10stat.±0.09syst.)%. Our result improves the precision of previous measurement of B(Λ+c→Xe+νe) by more than threefold. Using the known Λ+c lifetime and the charge-averaged semileptonic decay width of nonstrange charmed mesons, we measure the ratio of inclusive semileptonic decay widths Γ(Λ+c→Xe+νe)/Γ¯(D→Xe+νe)=1.28±0.05, where statistical and systematic uncertainties are combined.
