The subfamily Carventinae (Heteroptera: Aradidae) is revised for New Zealand. Eight genera and fifteen species are recognized. One genus and six species are described as new: Carventaptera hallae Larivière and Larochelle new species, Lissaptera heissi Larivière and Larochelle new species, Modicarventus kirmani Larivière and Larochelle new species, Neocarventus montanus Larivière and Larochelle new species, Neocarventus northlandicus Larivière and Larochelle new species, Neocarventus potterae Larivière and Larochelle new species, Tuataraptera Larivière and Larochelle new genus. One new combination is established: Neocarventus uncus Kirman, 1989 = Tuataraptera unca (Kirman, 1989). One new synonymy is made: Leuraptera yakasi Heiss, 1990 = Leuraptera zealandica Usinger and Matsuda, 1959. A revision of al taxa is provided. Descriptions, identification keys, illustrations of male genitalia, habitus photos, distributional data and maps are given. Extensive information on biology is included for each species.

The subfamily Prosympiestinae (Heteroptera: Aradidae) is revised for New Zealand. Three genera and thirteen species are recognized. Five species are described as new: Neadenocoris centralis Larivière and Larochelle new species, Neadenocoris hoarei Larivière and Larochelle new species, Neadenocoris northlandicus Larivière and Larochelle new species, Neadenocoris pseudovatus Larivière and Larochelle new species, Neadenocoris wellingtonensis Larivière and Larochelle new species. One new synonymy is established: Neadenocoris reflexus Usinger and Matsuda, 1959 becomes a junior synonym of Neadenocoris acutus Usinger and Matsuda, 1959. A revision of all taxa is provided. Descriptions, identification keys, illustrations of male parandria, habitus photos, distributional data and maps are given. Extensive information on biology is included for each species.

The genus Bembidion Latreille (Carabidae: Bembidiini) is reviewed for New Zealand. Thirty-six species-group taxa are recognized. Seven species are described as new: Bembidion (Zecillenus) karikari new species, Bembidion (Zecillenus) puponga new species, Bembidion (Zecillenus) tepaki new species, Bembidion (Zecillenus) waimarama new species, Bembidion (Zemetallina) bullerense new species, Bembidion (Zemetallina) mangamuka new species, Bembidion (Zemetallina) waiho new species. The taxonomic status of two species-group taxa is changed (valid names listed after equal sign): Bembidion (Zeactedium) orbiferum giachinoi Toledano, 2005 = Bembidion (Zeactedium) giachinoi Toledano, 2005; Bembidion (Zeperyphodes) nesophilum Broun, 1886 (previously synonymized with Bembidion (Zeperyphodes) callipeplum Bates, 1878) is resurrected from synonymy. A new synonymy is established (valid name listed after equal sign): Bembidion (Ananotaphus) rotundicolle eustictum Bates, 1878 = Bembidion (Ananotaphus) rotundicolle Bates, 1874. A concise review of the taxonomy of all taxa is provided.

Taxonomic supplement (2001 to 2015) to the catalogue of New Zealand Carabidae (Insecta: Coleoptera)

A supplement to the “Carabidae (Insecta: Coleoptera): catalogue” published by Larochelle and Larivière (2001; Fauna of New Zealand 43), is provided. A total of 99 genera and 547 species and subspecies belonging to 21 tribes and 8 subfamilies of Carabidae (including Cicindelini and Rhysodini), is recorded for New Zealand. Endemism is high, with 93% of the species and subspecies as well as 62% of the genera recorded from this country only. Changes to the 2001 catalogue are documented. The synonymy and type locality of taxa described between 2001 and 2015 are also provided.

The tribe Zolini (Carabidae: Trechinae) is revised for New Zealand. Two subtribes, fi ve genera, and fortyeight species are recognized. The presence of the subtribe Merizodina is confi rmed for New Zealand; it includes three genera (Maungazolus n. gen., Pseudoopterus Csiki, 1928, and Synteratus Broun, 1909). The subtribe Zolina contains two genera (Oopterus Guérin-Méneville, 1841 and Zolus Sharp, 1886).
