Waldökologie-Online soll als modernes Publikationsorgan für die Arbeitsgemeinschaft Forstliche Standorts- und Vegetationskunde (AFSV) fungieren, die Ihren Sitz an der LWF hat (Vorsitzender Dr. Helge Walentowski, Geschäftsführer Volker Binner, beide SG 2.4 Naturschutz). Die AFSV ist am 15. März 2006 als eigene Sektion "Standort- und Vegetationskunde" in den DVFFA (Deutscher Verband Forstlicher Forschungsanstalten), der deutschen Vertretung der IUFRO, aufgenommen worden. Damit kann sie nun einen aktiven Part im Dachverband der Forstlichen Forschung in Deutschland spielen. Die AFSV stellt mit ihren 300 Mitgliedern im In- und Ausland die mitgliederstärkste Sektion dar. Derzeit wird geprüft, ob "Waldökologie online" zum offiziellen Publikationsorgan des DVFFA entwickelt werden sollte. Diese Online-Publikation soll Impulse geben und Forschungsprojekte anregen. Als Schriftenreihe kann sie unregelmäßig erscheinen. Geplant ist jedoch eine mindestens 1mal jährlich erscheinende Ausgabe. Ihr Markenzeichen ist ein interdisziplinäres Themenspektrum mit zukunftsorientierten Beiträgen. Die Aufsätze stehen als scientific freeware in Volltextversion zum kostenlosen Download zur Verfügung. Darüber hinaus können auf Wunsch Sonderdrucke einzelner Aufsätze, Sonderdrucke zu bestimmten Themenblöcken, Hefte oder auch Sammelbände in gedruckter Version bestellt werden (Printing on demand).

The papers in this volume were presented at the eleventh meeting of the Austronesian Formal Linguistics Association (AFLA 11), held from April 23-25 at the Zentrum für Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft, Berlin, Germany. The conference was organized by Hans-Martin Gärtner, Joachim Sabel, and myself, as part of the research project Clause Structure and Adjuncts in Austronesian Languages. The volume is a collection of papers given at the conference “sub8 -- Sinn und Bedeutung”, the eighth annual conference of the Gesellschaft für Semantik, held at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-Universität, Frankfurt (Germany) in September 2003. During this conference, experts presented and discussed various aspects of semantics. The very different topics included in this book provide insight into fields of ongoing Semantics research.
