In this Letter, a systematic study of the weak radiative hyperon decay Ξ0→Λγ at an electron-positron collider using entangled Ξ0Ξ¯0 pair events is presented. The absolute branching fraction for this decay has been measured for the first time, and is (1.347±0.066stat.±0.054syst.)×10−3. The decay asymmetry parameter, which characterizes the effect of parity violation in the decay, is determined to be −0.741±0.062stat.±0.019syst.. The obtained results are consistent with the world average values within the uncertainties, offering valuable insights into the underlying mechanism governing the weak radiative hyperon decays. The charge conjugation parity (CP) symmetries of branching fraction and decay asymmetry parameter in the decay are also studied. No statistically significant violation of charge conjugation parity symmetry is observed.
Based on (27.12±0.14)×108 𝜓(2𝑆) events collected by the BESIII detector, we search for the decay 𝜂𝑐(2𝑆)→𝜋+𝜋−𝜂𝑐 via 𝜓(2𝑆)→𝛾𝜂𝑐(2𝑆). No significant signal is observed, and the upper limit on the product branching fraction ℬ(𝜓(2𝑆)→𝛾𝜂𝑐(2𝑆))×ℬ(𝜂𝑐(2𝑆)→𝜋+𝜋−𝜂𝑐) is determined to be 2.21×10−5 at the 90% confidence level. In addition, the 𝜂𝑐(2𝑆)→𝜋+𝜋−𝐾0𝑆𝐾±𝜋∓ decay is studied via 𝜓(2𝑆)→𝛾𝜂𝑐(2𝑆) and is observed with a statistical significance of 10𝜎 for the first time. The branching fraction of 𝜂𝑐(2𝑆)→𝜋+𝜋−𝐾0𝑆𝐾±𝜋∓ is determined to be (1.33±0.11±0.40±0.95)×10−2, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third uncertainty is due to the quoted ℬ(𝜓(2𝑆)→𝛾𝜂𝑐(2𝑆)).
Based on (2712.4±14.1)×106 𝜓(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector, we study the decays ℎ𝑐→3(𝜋+𝜋−)𝜋0, ℎ𝑐→2(𝜋+𝜋−)𝜔, ℎ𝑐→2(𝜋+𝜋−)𝜋0𝜂, ℎ𝑐→2(𝜋+𝜋−)𝜂, and ℎ𝑐→𝑝¯𝑝 via 𝜓(3686)→𝜋0ℎ𝑐. The decay channel ℎ𝑐→3(𝜋+𝜋−)𝜋0 is observed for the first time, and its branching fraction is determined to be (9.28±1.14±0.77)×10−3, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. In addition, first evidence is found for the modes ℎ𝑐→2(𝜋+𝜋−)𝜋0𝜂 and ℎ𝑐→2(𝜋+𝜋−)𝜔 with significances of 4.8𝜎 and 4.7𝜎, and their branching fractions are determined to be (7.55±1.51±0.77)×10−3 and (4.00±0.86±0.35)×10−3, respectively. No significant signals of ℎ𝑐→2(𝜋+𝜋−)𝜂 and ℎ𝑐→𝑝¯𝑝 are observed, and the upper limits of the branching fractions of these decays are determined to be <6.19×10−4 and <4.40×10−5 at the 90% confidence level, respectively.
The processes hc→γP(P=η′, η, π0) are studied with a sample of (27.12±0.14)×108 ψ(3686) events collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The decay hc→γη is observed for the first time with the significance of 9.0σ, and the branching fraction is determined to be (3.77±0.55±0.13±0.26)×10−4, while B(hc→γη′) is measured to be (1.40±0.11±0.04±0.10)×10−3, where the first uncertainties are statistical, the second systematic, and the third from the branching fraction of ψ(3686)→π0hc. The combination of these results allows for a precise determination of Rhc=B(hc→γη)B(hc→γη′), which is calculated to be (27.0±4.4±1.0)%. The results are valuable for gaining a deeper understanding of η−η′ mixing, and its manifestation within quantum chromodynamics. No significant signal is found for the decay hc→γπ0, and an upper limit is placed on its branching fraction of B(hc→γπ0)<5.0×10−5, at the 90% confidence level.
The J/ψ,ψ(3686)→Σ0Σ¯0 processes and subsequent decays are studied using the world's largest J/ψ and ψ(3686) data samples collected with the BESIII detector. The strong-CP symmetry is tested in the decays of the Σ0 hyperons for the first time by measuring the decay parameters, αΣ0=−0.0017±0.0021±0.0018 and α¯Σ0=0.0021±0.0020±0.0022. The weak-CP test is performed in the subsequent decays of their daughter particles Λ and Λ¯. Also for the first time, the transverse polarizations of the Σ0 hyperons in J/ψ and ψ(3686) decays are observed with opposite directions, and the ratios between the S-wave and D-wave contributions of the J/ψ,ψ(3686)→Σ0Σ¯0 decays are obtained. These results are crucial to understand the decay dynamics of the charmonium states and the production mechanism of the Σ0−Σ¯0 pairs.
Based on (2712.4±14.3)×106 ψ(3686) events, we investigate four hadronic decay modes of the P-wave charmonium spin-singlet state hc(1P1)→h+h−π0/η (h=π or K) via the process ψ(3686)→π0hc at BESIII. The hc→π+π−π0 decay is observed with a significance of 9.6σ after taking into account systematic uncertainties. Evidences for hc→K+K−π0 and hc→K+K−η are found with significances of 3.5σ and 3.3σ, respectively, after considering the systematic uncertainties. The branching fractions of these decays are measured to be B(hc→π+π−π0)=(1.36±0.16±0.14)×10−3, B(hc→K+K−π0)=(3.26±0.84±0.36)×10−4, and B(hc→K+K−η)=(3.13±1.08±0.38)×10−4, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. No significant signal of hc→π+π−η is found, and the upper limit of its decay branching fraction is determined to be B(hc→π+π−η)<4.0×10−4 at 90% confidence level.
Based on (2712.4±14.3)×106 𝑒+𝑒−→𝜓(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII Collider, we report the first evidence of 𝜒𝑐0→Λ¯Λ𝜙 decays and the first observation of 𝜒𝑐1,2→Λ¯Λ𝜙 decays, with significances of 4.1𝜎, 11.3𝜎 and 13.0𝜎, respectively. The decay branching fractions of 𝜒𝑐0,1,2→Λ¯Λ𝜙 are measured to be (2.99±1.24±0.19)×10−5, (6.01±0.90±0.40)×10−5, and (7.13±0.81±0.36)×10−5, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. No obvious enhancement near the Λ¯Λ production threshold or excited Λ state is found in the Λ𝜙 (or ¯Λ𝜙) system.
Six C-even states, denoted as X, with quantum numbers JPC=0−+, 1±+, or 2±+, are searched for via the e+e−→γD±sD∗∓s process using (1667.39±8.84) pb−1 of e+e− collision data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring at center-of-mass energy of s√=(4681.92±0.30) MeV. No statistically significant signal is observed in the mass range from 4.08 to 4.32 GeV/c2. The upper limits of σ[e+e−→γX]⋅B[X→D±sD∗∓s] at a 90% confidence level are determined.

Using e+e− collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at center-of-mass energies between 3.510 and 4.914GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 25 fb−1, we measure the Born cross sections for the process e+e−→K−Ξ¯+Λ/Σ0 at thirty-five energy points with a partial-reconstruction strategy. By fitting the dressed cross sections of e+e−→K−Ξ¯+Λ/Σ0, evidence for ψ(4160)→K−Ξ¯+Λ is found for the first time with a significance of 4.4σ, including systematic uncertainties. No evidence for other possible resonances is found. In addition, the products of electronic partial width and branching fraction for all assumed resonances decaying into K−Ξ¯+Λ/Σ0 are determined.
Using data samples with an integrated luminosity of 4.67 fb−1 collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, we search for the process e+e−→η′ψ(2S) at center-of-mass energies from 4.66 to 4.95 GeV. No significant signal is observed, and upper limits for the Born cross sections σB(e+e−→η′ψ(2S)) at the 90\% confidence level are determined.

Using 24.1 fb−1 of e+e− collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the Born cross sections and effective form factors of the e+e−→Σ+Σ¯− reaction are measured. The measurements are performed at center-of-mass energies ranging from 3.510 to 4.951 GeV. No significant evidence for the decay of the charmonium(-like) states, ψ(3770), ψ(4040), ψ(4160), Y(4230), Y(4360), ψ(4415), and Y(4660), into a Σ+Σ¯− final state is observed. Consequently, upper limits for the products of the branching fractions and the electronic partial widths at the 90% confidence level are reported for these decays.

Using (27.12±0.14)×108 ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector, we present the first observation of the decays χcJ→ΛΛ¯ω, where J=0,1,2, with statistical significances of 11.7σ,11.2σ, and 11.8σ. The branching fractions of these decays are determined to be B(χc0→ΛΛ¯ω)=(2.37±0.22±0.23)×10−4, B(χc1→ΛΛ¯ω)=(1.01±0.10±0.11)×10−4, and B(χc2→ΛΛ¯ω)=(1.40±0.13±0.17)×10−4, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. We observe no clear intermediate structures.
Based on (27.12±0.14)×108 ψ(2S) events collected with the BESIII detector, we search for the decay ηc(2S)→π+π−ηc with ηc→K0SK±π∓ and ηc→K+K−π0. No significant signal is observed, and the upper limit on the product branching fraction B(ψ(2S)→γηc(2S))×B(ηc(2S)→π+π−ηc) is determined to be 2.21×10−5 at the 90\% confidence level. In addition, the analysis of the process ψ(2S)→γηc(2S),ηc(2S)→π+π−K0SK±π∓ gives a clear ηc(2S) signal with a statistical significance of 10σ for the first time, %The product branching fraction B(ψ(2S)→γηc(2S))×B(ηc(2S)→π+π−K0SKπ) is measured to be (9.31±0.72±2.77)×10−6, and and the branching fraction B(ηc(2S)→π+π−K0SK±π∓) is determined to be (1.33±0.11±0.4±0.95)×10−2, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third uncertainty is due to the quoted B(ψ(2S)→γηc(2S)).
Using a sample of 448.1×106 ψ(2S) events collected with the BESIII detector, we perform a study of the decay J/ψ→K+K− via ψ(2S)→π+π−J/ψ.
The branching fraction of J/ψ→K+K− is determined to be BK+K−=(3.072±0.023(stat.)±0.050(syst.))×10−4, which is consistent with previous measurements but with significantly improved precision.
The singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay Λ+c→Σ−K+π+ is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of 6.4σ by using 4.5 fb−1 of e+e− collision data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.600 and 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector at BEPCII. The absolute branching fraction of Λ+c→Σ−K+π+ is measured to be (3.8±1.3stat±0.2syst)×10−4 in a model-independent approach. This is the first observation of a Cabibbo-suppressed Λ+c decay involving Σ− in the final state. The ratio of branching fractions between Λ+c→Σ−K+π+ and the Cabibbo-favored decay Λ+c→Σ−π+π+ is calculated to be (0.4±0.1)s2c, where sc≡sinθc=0.2248 with θc the Cabibbo mixing angle. This ratio significantly deviates from 1.0s2c and provides important information for the understanding of nonfactorization contributions in Λ+c decays.

Based on a data sample of 10 billion J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, improved measurements of the Dalitz decays η/η′→γe+e− are performed, where the η and η′ are produced through the radiative decays J/ψ→γη/η′. The branching fractions of η→γe+e− and η′→γe+e− are measured to be (7.07±0.05±0.23)×10−3 and (4.83±0.07±0.14)×10−4, respectively. Within the single pole model, the parameter of electromagnetic transition form factor for η→γe+e− is determined to be Λη=(0.749±0.027±0.007) GeV/c2. Within the multi-pole model, we extract the electromagnetic transition form factors for η′→γe+e− to be Λη′=(0.802±0.007±0.008) GeV/c2 and γη′=(0.113±0.010±0.002) GeV/c2. The results are consistent with both theoretical predictions and previous measurements. The characteristic sizes of the interaction regions for the η and η′ are calculated to be (0.645±0.023±0.007) fm and (0.596±0.005±0.006) fm, respectively. In addition, we search for the dark photon in η/η′→γe+e−, and the upper limits of the branching fractions as a function of the dark photon are given at 90\% confidence level.
Using e+e− collision data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, the Born cross sections of e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2595)−+c.c. and e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2625)−+c.c. are measured for the first time at center-of-mass energies of s√=4918.0 and 4950.9 MeV. Non-zero cross sections are observed very close to the production threshold. The measured Born cross sections of e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2625)−+c.c. are about 2∼3 times greater than those of e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2595)−+c.c., thereby indicating that the exotic structure potentially exists in the excited charmed baryons. The Born cross sections are 15.6±3.1±0.9 pb and 29.4±3.7±2.7 pb for e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2595)−+c.c., and are 43.4±4.0±4.1 pb and 76.8±6.5±4.2 pb for e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2625)−+c.c. at s√=4918.0 and 4950.9 MeV, respectively. Based on the polar angle distributions of the Λ¯c(2625)− and Λc(2625)+, the form-factor ratios |GE|2+3|GM|2−−−−−−−−−−−−√/|GC| are determined for e+e−→Λ+cΛ¯c(2625)−+c.c. for the first time, which are 5.95±4.07±0.15 and 0.94±0.32±0.02 at s√=4918.0 and 4950.9 MeV, respectively. All of these first uncertainties are statistical and second systematic.
Observation of a vector charmoniumlike state at 4.7 GeV/c² and search for Zcₛ in e⁺e⁻ → K⁺K⁻J/ψ
(2023)
Using data samples with an integrated luminosity of 5.85~fb−1 collected at center-of-mass energies from 4.61 to 4.95 GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring, we measure the cross section for the process e+e−→K+K−J/ψ. A new resonance with a mass of M=4708+17−15±21 MeV/c2 and a width of Γ=126+27−23±30 MeV is observed in the energy-dependent line shape of the e+e−→K+K−J/ψ cross section with a significance over 5σ. The K+J/ψ system is also investigated to search for charged charmoniumlike states, but no significant Z+cs states are observed. Upper limits on the Born cross sections for e+e−→K−Zcs(3985)+/K−Zcs(4000)++c.c. with Zcs(3985)±/Zcs(4000)±→K±J/ψ are reported at 90\% confidence levels. The ratio of branching fractions B(Zcs(3985)+→K+J/ψ)B(Zcs(3985) +→ (D¯0D∗+s+D¯∗0D+s)) is measured to be less than 0.03 at 90\% confidence level.
Using (2712.4 ± 14.3)×106 ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII, a partial wave analysis of the decay ψ(3686)→ϕηη′ is performed with the covariant tensor approach. An axial-vector state with a mass near 2.3 GeV/c2 is observed for the first time. Its mass and width are measured to be 2316 ±9stat±30systMeV/c2 and 89 ±15stat±26systMeV, respectively. Using a data sample of e+e− collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19 fb−1 collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we search for the production of deuterons and antideuterons via e+e−→ppπ−d¯+c.c. for the first time at center-of-mass energies between 4.13 and 4.70 GeV. No significant signal is observed and the upper limit of the e+e−→ppπ−d¯+c.c. cross section is determined to be from 9.0 to 145 fb depending on the center-of-mass energy at the 90% confidence level.
Using 7.33~fb−1 of e+e− collision data collected by the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies in the range of s√=4.128−4.226~GeV, we search for the rare decays D+s→h+(h0)e+e−, where h represents a kaon or pion. By requiring the e+e− invariant mass to be consistent with a ϕ(1020), 0.98<M(e+e−)<1.04 ~GeV/c2, the decay D+s→π+ϕ,ϕ→e+e− is observed with a statistical significance of 7.8σ, and evidence for the decay D+s→ρ+ϕ,ϕ→e+e− is found for the first time with a statistical significance of 4.4σ. The decay branching fractions are measured to be B(D+s→π+ϕ,ϕ→e+e−)=(1.17+0.23−0.21±0.03)×10−5, and B(D+s→ρ+ϕ,ϕ→e+e−)=(2.44+0.67−0.62±0.16)×10−5, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. No significant signal for the three four-body decays of D+s→π+π0e+e−, D+s→K+π0e+e−, and D+s→K0Sπ+e+e− is observed. For D+s→π+π0e+e−, the ϕ mass region is vetoed to minimize the long-distance effects. The 90% confidence level upper limits set on the branching fractions of these decays are in the range of (7.0−8.1)×10−5.

We measured the Born cross sections for the process e+e− → ωη′ at 22 center-of-mass energies from 2.000 to 3.080 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. We observed a resonant structure with a statistical significance of 9.6σ. A Breit-Wigner fit determines its mass to be MR = (2153 ± 30 ± 31) MeV/c2 and its width to be ΓR = (167 ± 77 ± 7) MeV, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic.
Precision measurements of the semileptonic decays 𝐷+𝑠→𝜂𝑒+𝜈𝑒 and 𝐷+𝑠→𝜂′𝑒+𝜈𝑒 are performed with 7.33 fb−1 of 𝑒+𝑒− collision data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector. The branching fractions obtained are ℬ(𝐷+𝑠→𝜂𝑒+𝜈𝑒) = (2.255±0.039stat±0.051syst)% and ℬ(𝐷+𝑠→𝜂′𝑒+𝜈𝑒)=(0.810±0.038stat±0.024syst)%. Combining these results with the ℬ(𝐷+→𝜂𝑒+𝜈𝑒) and ℬ(𝐷+→𝜂′𝑒+𝜈𝑒) obtained from previous BESIII measurements, the 𝜂−𝜂′ mixing angle in the quark flavor basis is determined to be 𝜙P=(40.0±2.0stat±0.6syst)°. Moreover, from the fits to the partial decay rates of 𝐷+𝑠→𝜂𝑒+𝜈𝑒 and 𝐷+𝑠→𝜂′𝑒+𝜈𝑒, the products of the hadronic transition form factors 𝑓𝜂(′)+(0) and the modulus of the 𝑐→𝑠 Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |𝑉𝑐𝑠| are determined by using different hadronic transition form factor parametrizations. Based on the two-parameter series expansion, the products 𝑓𝜂+(0)|𝑉𝑐𝑠| = 0.4519±0.0071stat±0.0065syst and 𝑓𝜂′+(0)|𝑉𝑐𝑠| = 0.525±0.024stat±0.009syst are extracted. All results determined in this work supersede those measured in the previous BESIII analyses based on the 3.19 fb−1 subsample of data at 4.178 GeV.
Using (1.0087±0.0044)×1010 𝐽/𝜓 events collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we report the first search for the baryon and lepton number violating decays Ξ0→𝐾−𝑒+ with Δ(𝐵−𝐿)=0 and Ξ0→𝐾+𝑒− with |Δ(𝐵−𝐿)|=2, where 𝐵 (𝐿) is the baryon (lepton) number. While no signal is observed, the upper limits on the branching fractions of these two decays are set to ℬ(Ξ0→𝐾−𝑒+)<3.6×10−6 and ℬ(Ξ0→𝐾+𝑒−)<1.9×10−6 at the 90% confidence level, respectively. These results offer a direct probe of baryon number violating interactions involving a strange quark.
Determination of U-spin breaking parameters with an amplitude analysis of the decay D⁰ → K⁰Lπ⁺π⁻
(2022)
We present a study of the resonant structure of the decay D0→K0Lπ+π−, using quantum-correlated D0D¯0 data produced at s√=3.773 GeV. The data sample was collected by the BESIII experiment and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb−1. This study is the first amplitude analysis of a decay mode involving a K0L, which also results in the first measurement of the complex U-spin breaking parameters (ρ^) related to various CP-eigenstate resonant modes through which the three-body decay proceeds. The moduli of the ρ^ parameters have central values in a wide range from 0.4 to 12.1, which indicates substantial U-spin symmetry breaking. We present the fractional resonant contributions and average strong-phase parameters over regions of phase space for both K0Sπ+π− and K0Lπ+π− modes. We also report the ratio of the branching fractions between K0Lπ+π− and K0Sπ+π− decay modes and the CP-even fraction of the K0Lπ+π− state calculated using the U-spin breaking parameters.
We report the measurement of the cross sections for e+e−→{nOCH} (nOCH stands for non-open charm hadrons) with improved precision at center-of-mass energies from 3.645 to 3.871 GeV. We observe for the first time a three-resonance structure in the energy-dependent lineshape of the cross sections, which are R(3760), R(3780) and R(3810) with significances of 9.4σ, 15.7σ, and 9.8σ, respectively. The R(3810) is observed for the first time. We found two solutions in analysis of the cross sections. For solution I [solution II], we measure the mass, the total width and the product of electronic width and nOCH decay branching fraction to be (3805.8±1.1±2.7) [(3805.8±1.1±2.7)] MeV/c2, (11.6±2.6±1.9) [(11.5±2.5±1.8)] MeV, and (10.8±3.2±2.3) [(11.0±2.9±2.4)] eV for the R(3810), respectively. In addition, we measure the branching fractions B(R(3760)→{nOCH})=(24.5±13.4±27.4)%[(6.8±5.4±7.6)%] for the first time, and B(R(3780)→{nOCH})=(11.6±5.8±7.8)%[(10.3±4.5±6.9)%]. Moreover, we determine the open-charm (OC) branching fraction B(R(3760)→{OC})=(75.5±13.4±27.4)%[(93.2±5.4±7.6)%], which supports the interpretation of R(3760) as an OC pair molecular state, but contained a simple four-quark state component. The first uncertainties are from fits to the cross sections, and the second are systematic.
We report the measurement of the inclusive cross sections for e+e−→nOCH (where nOCH denotes non-open charm hadrons) with improved precision at center-of-mass (c.m.) energies from 3.645 to 3.871 GeV. We observe three resonances: R(3760), R(3780), and R(3810) with significances of 8.1σ, 13.7σ, and 8.8σ, respectively. The R(3810) state is observed for the first time, while the R(3760) and R(3780) states are observed for the first time in the nOCH cross sections. Two sets of resonance parameters describe the energy-dependent line shape of the cross sections well. In set I [set II], the R(3810) state has mass (3805.7±1.1±2.7) [(3805.7±1.1±2.7)] MeV/c2, total width (11.6±2.9±1.9) [(11.5±2.8±1.9)] MeV, and an electronic width multiplied by the nOCH decay branching fraction of (10.9±3.8±2.5) [(11.0±3.4±2.5)] eV. In addition, we measure the branching fractions B[R(3760)→nOCH]=(25.2±16.1±30.4)%[(6.4±4.8±7.7)%] and B[R(3780)→nOCH]=(12.3±6.6±8.3)%[(10.4±4.8±7.0)%] for the first time. The R(3760) state can be interpreted as an open-charm (OC) molecular state, but containing a simple four-quark state component. The R(3810) state can be interpreted as a hadrocharmonium state.

No significant signals are observed, and upper limits are set at the 90\% confidence level of 2.13×10−5, 1.54×10−5 and 2.10×10−5 for the branching fractions of D0→K0SK−e+νe, D+→K0SK0Se+νe and D+→K+K−e+νe, respectively.
The quantum entangled J/ψ→Σ+Σ¯− pairs from (1.0087±0.0044)×1010 J/ψ events taken by the BESIII detector are used to study the non-leptonic two-body weak decays Σ+→nπ+ and Σ¯−→n¯π−. Assuming CP conservation, the average decay parameter is determined as ⟨α+⟩=(α+−α¯−)/2 = −0.0506±0.0026stat±0.0019syst, while the ratios α+/α0 and α¯−/α¯0 are −0.0490±0.0032stat±0.0021syst and −0.0571±0.0053stat±0.0032syst, where α0 and α¯0 are the decay parameters of the decays Σ+→pπ0 and Σ¯−→p¯π0, respectively.

We report the measurement of the cross sections for e+e−→hadrons at center-of-mass (c.m.) energies from 3.645 to 3.871 GeV. We observe a new resonance R(3810) in the cross sections for the first time, and observe the R(3760) resonance with high significance in the cross sections. The R(3810) has a mass of (3804.5±0.9±0.9) ~MeV/c2, a total width of (5.4±3.5±3.2)~MeV, and an electronic partial width of (19.4±7.4±12.1)~eV. Its significance is 7.7σ. The R(3810) could be interpreted as a hadro-charmonium resonance predicted by Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). In addition, we measure the mass (3751.9±3.8±2.8) ~MeV/c2, the total width (32.8±5.8±8.7)~MeV, and the electronic partial width (184±75±86)~eV with improved precision for the R(3760). Furthermore, for the R(3780) we measure the mass (3778.7±0.5±0.3) ~MeV/c2 and total width (20.3±0.8±1.7)~MeV with improved precision, and the electronic partial width (265±69±83)~eV. The R(3780) can be interpreted as the 13D1 state of charmonium. Its mass and total width differ significantly from the corresponding fitted values given by the Particle Data Group in 2022 by 7.1 and 3.2 times the uncertainties for ψ(3770), respectively. ψ(3770) has been interpreted as the 13D1 state for 45 years.

Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb−1 collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we search for a scalar partner of the X(3872), denoted as X(3700), via ψ(3770)→γηη′ and γπ+π−J/ψ processes. No significant signals are observed and the upper limits of the product branching fractions B(ψ(3770)→γX(3700))⋅B(X(3700)→ηη′) and B(ψ(3770)→γX(3700))⋅B(X(3700)→π+π−J/ψ) are determined at the 90\% confidence level, for the narrow X(3700) with a mass ranging from 3710 to 3740 MeV/c2, which are from 0.8 to 1.8 (×10−5) and 0.9 to 3.4 (×10−5), respectively.
The cross sections of the 𝑒+𝑒−→𝜙𝜂′ process at center-of-mass energies from 3.508 to 4.951 GeV are measured with high precision using 26.1 fb−1 data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. The cross sections are of the order of a few picobarn and decrease as the center-of-mass energy increases as 𝑠−𝑛/2 with 𝑛=4.35±0.14. This result is in agreement with the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model prediction of 𝑛=3.5±0.9. In addition, the charmless decay 𝜓(3770)→𝜙𝜂′ is searched for by fitting the measured cross sections, yet no significant signal is observed. The upper limit of ℬ(𝜓(3770)→𝜙𝜂′) at the 90% confidence level is determined to be 2.3×10−5.
We present measurements of the Born cross sections for the processes e+e−→ωχc1 and ωχc2 at center-of-mass energies s√ from 4.308 to 4.951 GeV. The measurements are performed with data samples corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 11.0 fb−1 collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. Assuming the e+e−→ωχc2 signals come from a single resonance, the mass and width are determined to be M=(4413.6±9.0±0.8) MeV/c2 and Γ=(110.5±15.0±2.9) MeV, respectively, which is consistent with the parameters of the well-established resonance ψ(4415). In addition, we also use one single resonance to describe the e+e−→ωχc1 lineshape, and determine the mass and width to be M=(4544.2±18.7±1.7) MeV/c2 and Γ=(116.1±33.5±1.7) MeV, respectively. The structure of this lineshape, observed for the first time, requires further understanding.

A Breit-Wigner fit determines its mass to be MR=(2153±30±31) MeV/c2 and its width to be ΓR=(167±77±7) MeV, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic.

With a dominant hadronic contribution from K1(1270), the branching fractions are measured to be B(D0→K1(1270)−(→K0Sπ−π0)e+νe) = (1.69+0.53−0.46±0.15)×10−4 and B(D+→K¯1(1270)0(→K0Sπ+π−)e+νe) = (1.47+0.45−0.40±0.20)×10−4 with statistical significance of 5.4σ and 5.6σ, respectively. When combined with measurements of the K1(1270)→K+π−π decays, the absolute branching fractions are determined to be B(D0→K1(1270)−e+νe) = (1.05+0.33−0.28±0.12±0.12)×10−3 and B(D+→K¯1(1270)0e+νe) = (1.29+0.40−0.35±0.18±0.15)×10−3. The first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively, and the third uncertainties originate from the assumed branching fractions of the K1(1270)→Kππ decays.
Using data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at center-of-mass energies ranging from 3.80 to 4.95 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 20 fb−1, a measurement of Born cross sections for the e+e−→D0D¯0 and D+D− processes is presented with unprecedented precision. Many clear peaks in the line shape of e+e−→D0D¯0 and D+D− around the mass range of G(3900), ψ(4040), ψ(4160), Y(4260), and ψ(4415), etc., are foreseen. These results offer crucial experimental insights into the nature of hadron production in the open-charm region.
Based on a data sample of (27.08±0.14)×108 ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the M1 transition ψ(3686)→γηc(2S) with ηc(2S)→KK¯π is studied, where KK¯π is K+K−π0 or K0SK±π∓. The mass and width of the ηc(2S) are measured to be (3637.8±0.8(stat)±0.2(syst)) MeV/c2 and (10.5±1.7(stat)±3.5(syst)) MeV, respectively. The product branching fraction B(ψ(3686)→γηc(2S))×B(ηc(2S)→KK¯π) is determined to be (0.97±0.06(stat)±0.09(syst))×10−5. Using BR(ηc(2S)→KK¯π)=(1.86+0.68−0.49)%, we obtain the branching fraction of the radiative transition to be BR(ψ(3686)→γηc(2S))=(5.2±0.3(stat)±0.5(syst)+1.9−1.4(extr))×10−4, where the third uncertainty is due to the quoted BR(ηc(2S)→KK¯π).
