Au milieu du beau livre d’Anna Karla, le lecteur tombe sur les réflexions du général François-Amédée Doppet qui, dans sa préface aux »Mémoires politiques et militaires«(1797), rapporte les conditions nécessaires pour écrire une histoire véritable de la Révolution française. À son avis, il faudra un écrivain impartial, éloigné du chaos des événements, qui, tout d’abord, rassemblera tous les souvenirs écrits par les protagonistes de la Révolution, jusque-là encore dominés par l’esprit de parti. Seul cet écrivain pourra, avec l’impartialité de l’historien, extraire de ces mémoires une histoire complète des bouleversements révolutionnaires. La vérité sur la Révolution, donc, ne pourra être formulée que longtemps après la fin de celle-ci. ...
The present review refers to the work of Silvia Zimmermann Das Königsbild im Werk Carmen Sylvas und in Fotografien des Fürstlich Wiedischen Archivs.[The Kingʼs Image in the Work of Carmen Sylva and on Princely Archive Photographs belonging to the Wied House] The year 2014 had a triple meaning for the first Romanian Royal House: 175 years since the birth of King Charles I (20 April 2014), 145 years since his wedding with princess Elisabeth of Wied (15 November 1869) and the death centenary of King Charles I (10 October 1914, at the Peleș Castle). Silvia Zimmermann selects and comments upon texts and images which depict the reign of Charles I over Romania, a very beneficial period for the development of the country
Adina Lucia Nistor’s recent book focuses on standard German, viewed from the perspective of the morphemic, internalanalysis of one of the essential parts of a sentence, i.e. the nominal group (Nominalgruppe),in opposition to the verbal group (Verbalgruppe).
The paper presents Horst Samson’s volume of poetry Kein Schweigen bleibt ungehört -No silence stays unheard (2013). The review focuses on the main themes dealt with: emigration / exile, absurd existence within the Romanian society during the communist period and national socialist past of the former generation of the German ethnics in Romania. Although the themes may seem disparate one from another, the analysis shows eventually similarities in the stances of the lyrical self.
