Distribution and sociology of Oenanthe conioides (Nolte) Lange in the tidal area of the Elbe river
- Oenanthe conioides ist eine im Süßwasser-Tidegebiet der Elbe endemische, heute vom Aussterben bedrohte Pflanzensippe. Die zweijährige Art siedelt bevorzugt im Übergangsbereich zwischen den therophytenreichen Bidentetea und den hochstaudenreichen Phragmitetea-Röhrichten. Die entsprechende Assoziation wird als Nasturtio officinalis s. str.- Oenanthetum conioides ass. nov. beschrieben. Ihr Rückgang ist auf das anthropogen veränderte Tideregime der Elbe zurückzuführen. Mögliche Schutzmaßnahmen werden diskutiert.
- Oenanthe conioides is a threatened species endemic to the freshwater tidal area of the Elbe estuary near Hamburg. Being a biennial species, it occurs in an ecotone between the Bidentetea, composed of annuals, and Phragmites stands (Phragmitetea) with chiefly perennial species. It forms a discrete association, the Nasturtio officinalis s. str.-Oenanthetum conioides ass. nov. Its decline is due to the anthropogenic change in the tidal regime of the Elbe river. Problems associated with its conservation are discussed.
