The checklist contains records of spiders from the federal countries Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Bremen and the northern plain of Lower Saxony which are compiled from published data, unpublished papers and personal communications. Among the total of 601 species Gnaphosa leporina, Marpissa nivoyi, Dictyna major, Baryphymamaritimum, Pelecopsisnemoraloides, Ozyptila westringi, Silometopus ambiguus and Micaria romana are species which occurin Germany mostlyin the north-western region. The species records in the checklist can be related to their informational sources and they can be localised in the TK25-grid, which represents sheets of the 1:25.000 topographical map.
Spinnen aus Malaisefallen
(1994)
The spider fauna of the higher vegetation strata is by far less well investigated than the bulk of epigeic spiders. The present paper refers to spiders collected in Malaise traps that were used during an insect sampling program in Brandenburg (Germany) in 1992-1993. In spite of a rather unusual sampling technique for spiders, the species report presented might add to our knowledge useful data on arboricolous spiders.
A faunistic study was carried out for three years in Zemen gorge (1984-1986). With the help of Barber-traps 675 gnaphosid spiders were caught in 4 localities, each with 2 habitats, meadow and forest. 23 species were found in total and their biotopical distribution was recorded. The investigated habitats are faunistically similar, mainly in qualitative respect. In addition data about the phenology of the most frequent species are presented. The males are most abundant in spring and summer and disappear in VIII, the females are most numerous after VII and can be found till the end of IX, whereas the juveniles can be found till the end of X. The species abundance reaches its peak in V-VI.
The checklist contains information about all species of spiders in Lithuania recorded in 1930-1992 and includes a bibliography of the spider fauna of Lithuania. A total of 233 spider species is known from Lithuania.
