Verbal action is bodily action : on metaphor conceptualisation of speech acts
- Tento článek pojednává o konceptuální metafoře "slovní jednání je tělesné jednání". Autor poukazuje na to, že se jedná o strukturní metaforu, spočívající za porozuměním řeči. Článek se skládá z pěti částí. Nejprve jsou prezentovány cíle a metody teorie řečových aktů (kapitoly 1-3). Za nejdůležitější je považována analýza některých slov a frází: také idiomy (kapitola čtvrtá) patří k těm vyjádřením, ve kterých se očekává výskyt konceptuálních metafor. Analýza metafory zmíněné v titulu a výhled tvoří čtvrtou cast článku (kapitoly 6 a 7). V poslední kapitole jsou prezentovány výsledky.
- This essay deals with the conceptual metaphor "Verbal action is bodily action". It is shown that this is a structural metaphor, which lies behind the understanding of speech. The essay consists of 5 parts. First, the objectives and methods of speech act theory are introduced (chapters 1-3). The semantic analysis of selected words and phrases is the most important component of the analysis. Idioms (chapter 4) also belong among the expressions in which manifestations of conceptual metaphors (chapter 5) are expected. The analysis of the metaphor mentioned in the title and a research outlook form the fourth part of the essay (chapter 6 and 7). In the last part (chapter 8) some results are given.
